Thanks for loading this short film , Eric ; really appreciated : i remember it being shown in a cinema in the days when a new feature film was showing , and a suitable short film played at the start of the whole performance as a support. It is nigh on impossible to locate any recording of the Bread Love & Dreams song at the end ; it appears , despite extensive research , that the only way to hear this , is actually on the film soundtrack at the end of this short film. I can think of only two other films that hav this same aspect. Both X films so i wont mention them. There is little if any information about the director either. This 50 year old item is very effective in its own way , with a unique feeling and presentation.

I live in Cornwall , before I moved to my present home I lived in one of the villages that make up St.Ives. Ayr. The name has the same Brythonic roots as your town. ( as does Airdrie) Oddly its just a few miles from another small Cornish town - Troon. My mother’s name , and my sister’s too, was Coila. The only known statue of Coila, Robert Burn’s muse, is in your town. Standing as an inspiration to students outside the main entrance to the University. Its a small world.

Sad, you go there now half of it is shut down and half the population is foreign with no interest in the culture.
