A Tour of Our Airbnb and Barrio in San Luis Potosi

For our third location in Mexico, we headed northeast from San Miguel de Allende to the city of San Luis Potosí. Our AirBnb was small but comfortable and in a great location! We'll head to the jardín for a churro then take you with us on a walk through the barrio.

From 9:05 to 9:58 - the video is muted because the song that the dancers were dancing to in the park, "Almendra", was claimed for copyright by Altafone Network S.L. Now, the stupid thing is, we officially disputed that song as fair use because it was being played publically in a park and we happened to stop to watch the dancers for a minute. That falls under FAIR USE because it was PASSIVELY sourced. But ‪@Altafonte‬ rejected that dispute and wants to claim monetization for the PASSIVE use in this video. So it's been muted. If we had actually illegally found and added the song to the video, that would be a copyright violation, but we didn't. It was publically played in a park setting and was recorded passively from the environment. Since they rejected the our initial dispute, if we rebut their claim a second time and they still refuse, then it will become an official copyright strike against us. So it's muted.

That was a bugaboo Lisa. We were huffing and puffing whenever we got to the top of them. But once there, it was a very nice little apartment. Would be someplace that we would choose to retire in, stairs or not, I don't think so. But the neighborhood is definitely very high on our list right now.

Well the churros are good, that is for sure. And we really loved being able to take our evening strolls in San Luis Potosi and experience the great culture. But if you liked that AirBnB, just wait until we show the one that we are in now here in El Tejar. We really did splurge some and it has been totally worth every penny.

The apartment where we are renting, has a 2 in 1 and it takes forever to wash and dry our clothes! It takes OVER 5 hours!!! But on the bright side, at least it dries our clothes and we don’t have to hang our clothes on the rooftop

Thanks Tom. We spent a good deal of time with them while we were there. You are spot on, there are a lot of similarities and we now are in constant contact with the two of them. We did record a video one evening with the two of them and two subscribers who have become very good friends of ours. It was a hoot to do and now we are trying to figure out how to cut it down from the two hour bull session that it ended up being. You know us, we go on and on and on and on. LOL

Forgive me for interjecting again, but the Lavandaria is always the best way to go. You get your laundry back the same afternoon smelling super fresh, folded, etc for what 4 or 5 bucks... You couldn't get that anywhere in the World with a beautiful smile from the people providing the Service

do they have unscented options? I've been having to do my laundry at a public facility. the chemicals and artificial fragrances that people use make me nauseous. I'll be glad when everyone realizes these "fresh" scents are poison. I'm in Texas...going to Mexico soon 😊

@@angiehernandez5505 Hi Angie: I am going to guess that they probably do not have unscented products, but don't know for sure. If You are staying at an Airbnb that has a washer and dryer for You to use, You can probably get unscented detergent etc. at Sam's Club, Walmart and elsewhere in Mexico. Maybe it might even be possible to pack some powdered detergent in you luggage that is unscented. Hope this helps somewhat and have a great stay in Mexico.

Hi Gina Hi Mark I just finished reading your video about your relocation for the first time. I loved it! Your story is simple, adventurous and what a brave pair! I have a question for you both. How long did it take you to get temporary visa or citizenship? I am in Los Angeles, I am 72 years old and I want to relocate to Mexico too. Do you have a Q&A video where we could ask you questions? Please advise. Thank you> I am subscribing now!
