A tour of Moldovan VILLAGES in winter 🐈🥶
Disclaimer #1: Moldova is like a post-apocalyptic wasteland in winter
Disclaimer #2: I was born and raised in Moldova and love it dearly, so be kind in the comments
I’m sure you heard Moldova is one of the least visited and least expensive countries in Europe, but… are you interested to see how Moldovans live? Let's walk around the villages of Chetrosu, Cobusca Veche and Anenii Noi town to find out. All of them are located in the center of Moldova and are pretty typical for Moldova..

Hi Elena! This is the 4th video of yours that I'm watching, I discovered your channel while searching for tips on how to build an urban jungle :) I'm Romanian but my grandfather was born in a village in Moldova, from Ukrainian roots. Him and his family lived in Chisinau until I think 1924 when they moved to Romania. I was born in Constanta. Also my name is Elena lol 😆 I visited Chisinau for the first time in my life in December 2019 at the age of 35. I loved the city! And the funny part is that we almost went to Odessa for that trip but we ended up going to Chisinau instead. I am currently living in Houston, TX but I miss my part of the world a lot! Keep up the good work with your videos, you have such good quality content and you deserve many more subscribers!

Thank you for the video. You need to come and visit us! I am an American who moved to Moldova over three years ago. My wife and I live in Bulboaca (Anenii-Noi district) where we grow our own crops, raise our own chickens, pick out own fruit, gather our own nuts and berries, and make our own wine. It's a simple life filled with simple pleasures. I love it.

Fascinating to see this video Elena, it's such a simple life, but I should imagine very hard for your Grandmother! Her house is now the last in the village? I'm guessing she has family members that live close by to help her? Whose is the football I could spy in the Summer Kitchen? I really like watching videos like this!

Hi Richard, just to clarify - by 'last house in the village' I meant that grandmother's house is situated at the end of the village, closest to the forest. There are plenty of other people living in the village besides her. But you are right, living in a village is no easy feat.

3 years ago I was in Moldova, I was curious after hearing about it. I have been to Chisinau and more with micro I have traveled a bit everywhere. the city of Chisinau, the capital, must have been very beautiful, the parks and buildings (the Circus is an example of Brustalist architecture) is now very neglected to say the least, you can see that the state does nothing. it is a city, among the many that I have visited that has not transmitted anything to me, it looks like a transit city. I found people honest and empathetic. If there were functioning state structures (health, roads, etc.) it would be a very livable country.

My daughter is going to Moldova next school year as an exchange student. She will be an 11th grade student (in the US system). We don't know where in Moldova she will be going yet, as she is waiting for a host family placement. What language do most people in Moldova speak? My daughter has been studying Russian and would like to continue studying it, although she doesn't object to also learning Romanian. Anything she should know about living there? She is soo excited (and as her mother, I am so nervous).
