Hi Gabriel, this is a relaxing time and a beautiful place to unwind and recharge your batteries. The bungalows look truly relaxing right on the beach. The just isn't much to do around the island aside from what you see but you could island hop over and take in what the other islands offer. This is going to be one of the biggest years for traveling yet as days go by allowing more time for people to get back to even greater normalcy with less restriction. I'm sure your plans for traveling this year are on a grand scale.

" ... Thailand’s land size is often expressed in the local measurement units: Rai, Ngan, and Square Wah (sqw). Thailand does not use the Imperial or Metric Systems. Below are the basics for land conversion in the Thai land measurement system. 1 Rai = 4 Ngan (or 1600 sq. m.) 1 sq. wah = 4 sq. m. 1 acre = 2.471 rai or 43,560 sq. ft. 1 ngan = 100 wah (or 400 sq. m.) 1 hectare = 6.25 rai or 10,000 sq. m. Furthermore, land size in Thailand is usually shown in the following order: rai, ngan, sqw. So when you see a sign that says “Land for sale 1-3-20,” or something similar, the land size is 1 rai, 3 ngan, and 20 sqw. When converted into sq. m., it would become: 1600 + (3 x 400) + (20 x 4) = 2880 sq. m. ... " - from the luxury address dot com

They have really developed the island fast. When I was there in 2006 and 2008 the only traffic was on the sea. About the Muslim majority on the island, the best way to find out is by checking if the have the sound system that broadcasts prayer at different parts of the day. All hardcore Muslim islands in Thailand have that, like Koh Lanta for example.

Reviewing this video and loving it. More commentary follows. But first what struck me about Koh Lipe were two things: * Koh Lipe have a Goa type vibe, yes? ** And, Koh Lipe is spelled KOH LIPE and not KO LIPE. 1) You get everything out of one place that can be gotten out of a place. 2) Seattle's American Hotel hostel is $143 / night for 4 beds with possible roomies. Crazy ... 3) Rusticity rules in much of this video. Nice lush scenery but I still would not recommend eating in ANY restaurant that is not well-patronised, and does not have good turnover. You know, just saying ... 4) Beautiful gtem coloured waters there are in Thailand, aren't there? 5) 15:36 -- It all looked much more touristy and visited, from here to about 19:10. 6) TRIP-py birdie at 18:03, should have gone into stand-up, so funny was his yammering. 7) OK so after that jungle hike at about 20:00, how do you know that the mosquitoes you encountered won't give you a mean case of DENGUE FEVER? They can, you can. 8) Ever clamour for a compass? I mean, have you ever been lost to the point of wondering: How in the Hell am I gonna get out of this joint semi-alive? Or, is your sense of direction super on point? 9) Dang, those massage parlors ... Any hookers up in those joints? (The things that much you go go, hmmmm ...) 10) At 28:10 Did I miss the caption and not see what you ate? Because I could not. And finally, BA-BOOF, them fiya-works! Fireworks made everything mo'bettah, don't they? Great way to end a video, Gabriel!

I don’t understand why Thailand has legalised the evil weed, as it will only attract druggies and lead to an increase in addiction, theft and stealing. From a tourist point of view, this could make these beautiful places less safe.

Totally disagree. I like his style of talking to the viewers and showing us around. It would be more enjoyable if there were less dumb comments though.

Maybe you can start your own KZread channel and make stuff you enjoy - warning it’s a lot of work so you won’t have a lot of spare time to criticize other creators work. 😅
