First off great job! My only question would be how well do you think that glue is going to hold up under the repeated stress on the chair in being used.

One thing I wish- would be for the original craftsman to still be around to watch you bring life back into his/her creation. I bet their appreciation would be golden. Beautiful work.

Maybe someone can use others techniques or differents materials, but anyway the result is ok. Well done!😊

From stripping to saw dust and glue fill/repairs [won't hold for long believe me] to cutting off the tips of the legs, you've done almost everything that shouldn't be done to an antique, cherry on top was that amateurishly upholstered chipboard seat as the final coup to its demise.

A matte finish would have shown less marks in the wood.

Another restoration artist i watch will mix sawdust into the glue, then apply it to joints and cracks. ✨️🪑✨️👍
