Honestly, you talking about how to set up at the start of Well on Ilios was really interesting. A video that explains Sombra's positioning at the start of rounds on each map would actually be really helpful I think if you're looking for a video idea. I would go top right and survey the situation but going left is obviously the better play due to what you just explained. I'd love to know the "correct" way to position for each map and the reasons why.

I have been playing cult of the lamb non-stop for days and while watching the video I could hear the background music, I swear I thought I was going crazy. Until I paused the video and noticed. Yes, I might be a bit high.

Few days ago I watched few of your vids where you explained what you do in real time. It was gold! I decided to try Sombra for first time. And I followed your tips and did ok. However I had huge problems with one situation - enemy grouped up, defending high ground. Damn I couldn't crack that nut. So I decided to rewatch your vids. And I found out that I'm diving too deep, just like dude on Samoa. I understood I have to brawl more and assassinate less. Be on flanks, but close, not in backline. This video would have saved me at least two hours of my live :D Still, great content, thanks!

Every time I watch a Questron video, I think I have playback speed set to 1.5, but when I check, nope, it's Normal. This was a great video. I'd love to see something like this intercut with gameplay that shows "the right" way in contrast to the mistakes though. Also, with new Sombra, a video just devoted to how to transpond/escape properly would be so useful. I'm still finding that if I don't port to a spot, 100% of the time, that has no LOS, the enemy will prioritize me, track me, and shoot me.

You cannot imagine how much I appreciate the editing. Tbh I low key hate sombra (ball main) but the DENSITY of the information is too good to miss out on. I'm sick of watching 4 hours to learn for 4 minutes.

I can see some of my mistakes in this video. I'm a high plat/low diamond Sombra main and I'm guilty of sometimes going deep in order to do pincer maneuvers or siphon out some enemy cooldowns. Though I do think about if my team can survive while I'm gone. That "You're playing under the assumption that no one will ever help you." cut me deep though. It's hard to rely on your team at lower ranks when the advice to climb is "make plays". At some point, your team gets better at helping you so you have to learn to play better with them.

Teamwork can be done if your team works with you, or if you use the opportunities that your team creates (without intent of aiding you). Sombra after the rework generally relies on capitalization of circumstance, circumstance that she can't generate herself but does need to be able to recognize. If your tank overextends, sure he'd probably die-- but the enemy team would be distracted enough to let down their guards on their supports which would let you get a free kill on a mercy or somethin. In lower ranks, making plays assumes that Sombra has control from start to finish, which isn't the case. Either she controls the start (with communication), OR the end.

I feel I know what these people did wrong, but I wish you pointed out more of what they should do. Like when they went after the 76 that already had the heal stick down, that was a terrible engagement, and yes they wasted 39 seconds of doing nothing. It would have been good to get some ideas of what they could have been doing in those 39 seconds... specific to this match. I love these videos!

I purposefully tried not being scenario-specific. If I was hyper specific to the scenario, someone watching would only learn how to handle specifically that scenario. These reviews aren't for the specific person, but to be applicable to anyone watching to use as an example to explain concepts people often get wrong when playing Sombra

@@Questron01 fair enough. should we attempt to harass from high ground and have them press buttons for 39 seconds? that doesn't seem beneficial either because 39s all cooldowns are refreshed and we just risk getting killed ourselves

What kind of positioning would make it possible to both try for a flank assasination and brawl with your team depending on which is the better option? Or is it more about predicting when that preferred option changes?

As a flex player, the amount of metal rank players I see go past the tank like she did with Rein is a lot. Especially flank heroes, going for a cheeky off angle is fine but they are engaging without the tank or support there. Then blaming tank and support for lack of heals or tanking. Had a Genji in QP say report the Orisa, that Orisa came as backfill and played 2 out of 3 rounds and had more elims than him who was there the entire game because he kept overextending. The supports aren't going to go in on a suicide mission to save overextenders so far up the enemy backline they could give them free colonoscopies

Do you still get extra damage on hack target? Is it worth hacking and focusing the tank if you have coordination or just use hack as an interrupt

You're correct. HOWEVER, it is fun.

My problem is I don’t know when to do certain stuff and when certain actions are valuable so I just end up flanking a lot in the backline or atleast trying to.😭

Cool video, but it would be better imo to show more of the game. So much screen time is just your face, where I want to see more of the mistakes and things the player does well in context of the whole game. Feel like every time ur talking about something I barely saw what they did or how it had an effect on the game

Believe it or not, ball counters sombra now. She can't translocate across the Map anymore, and her hack has very little value against him. Her translocater is predictable and makes it easy to chase her down and spank her. Just gotta spy check her

Chase her back. Prioritize bumping into her when you're rolling. Prioritize diving her if you can see her. She wants to hack your movement. Interrupt her hack with your movement. - signed, a Sombra main.

I have chased down a lot of sombras it’s just hard when you go to dive into there team. the person also kept chasing me when I was at like 200 hp

I dont hack virus much anymore because virus without hack ticks slower so you have a bigger window to do damage with your gun then translocate away and let the virus finish off the kill. Unlike hacking where the damage is already done and you may have to translocate early so theyll stay alive.

It does the same amount of damage though? You either do 90 damage with your gun and get the kill or you don't. DoT being slower only means bigger window *for them* to get healing and survive.

On samoa, you seemed to suggest that sombra should "do something", when their team is respawning ? 1v5 ? Yes they achieve nothing yet, but it's better than to achieve nothing while dying

I haven't watched the video yet but I disagree that spawn camping is bad cuz its funny to pick on the weak.

spawn camping is trading your presence for theirs, if they are weak then its a bad trade. If it were a good trade its because you are weaker.

​@@FawXnSawXand that's assuming they don't know how to deal with a sombra or another enemy team member helps them, if the tank helps their support or an AoE character wants a sombra dead and the sombra targets the support, have fun you aren't winning that engagement, you only die or run, it'll take 1 well placed ashe dynamite or junkrat ability to take you out.
