Your video is soooo good.......

1:00 I've been to this hotel! It is absolutely breathtaking! There is a bridge behind it that takes you deep into the woods and into a park with a lovely view of the city across a lake. It's a perfect place within the city for a quiet adventure into nature. I'd love to come back some day!

It's probably a different hotel you have been to, this one is in Kaohsiung, but the one in Taipei looks similar (but taller) and has beautiful hiking paths and scenic views :-)

To call your video EPIC is an understatement, this is more beautiful than I've ever seen anywhere in the world! kudos to your work! :)

Beautiful, as expected 😜. It’s amazing how much you did, sacrificed, for the love of Taiwan 🇹🇼. Taiwan is an amazing place and it’s all because of its people, you know that too! As I said before, it’s a little bit hard for me to watch, since although my heart is in Taiwan, I don’t know when I will be able to visit Taiwan again. My heart jumps every time I see that crossroad in Taipei, on the pedestrian bridge, with the view of 101 and WTT... I don’t remember where I saw that same scene, probably in one of your vlogs. I know exactly where it is because I used to live not far from that place. So again, memories, memories, memories.... warm feelings... I’m happy to hear you found someone to compose music for this video. Personally, I thought the scenes with the model in the red dress were a little bit “creepy” 🤪😂, but that’s just me... The way she “glided” through the scene made me think of how little red bridges in parks are never straight but angled, so that ghosts will not be able to cross them (as they can only “jump” in straight lines)... Thank you both for letting the world know how wonderful Taiwan is! And thank you for letting me share in your journeys and making me feel as if I’m back in Taiwan again!

Thank you very much, Monique :-) I can imagine how hard it must be for you to watch the places, not knowing when you are able to make a return. You have indeed seen that crossroad in Xinyi area from one of our first Taiwan VLOG's, where we are going there and showing us shooting from there. Each VLOG and each single scene used in "A Taste of Taiwan II" also includes many memories and moments for me; both past and present when they were actually shot - so I know your feeling :-) Oh, that is an interesting thought on the model in qipao/dressed in red which we never thought of. In a creative way we are trying to show the contrast of "past and present" this way, by using old-style stop-motion technique to move the girl while Jonas is moving in moden "hyperlapse" technique. The thought behind it is that a person dressed in a more traditional style is moving through the modern flashy busy crowds at Ximending -- and then moving back in time to a more peaceful Lin An Tai historical house. It shows how people interprete things in different ways, and that is a good thing.. that means we created a piece of art :-) - It is our pleasure :-) //Henrik

@@SG-hr5vj Timelapse won't work for all kind of scenes, and it might take many trips to the same location to nail it. With 3 years and way too much personal money spend to produce the two video gifts for Taiwan, it's simply not possible to do more. We have included as much scenic views as possible, and this final one does have quite alot of scenic views! Shooting timelapse and not just normal video or photos is a huge difference, both budget and time wise. We did our best to show something to make Taiwan stand out, and we feel we did that, as it was made with love and passion to every detail 😊~ Thanks for your support 😊

@@SG-hr5vj No worries, no need to revise :-) I shot approx 90.000 photos in total in 5 months, including alot of nature and scenic places, but with a limitation of 2 min. duration we had to select the best parts for the broadest audience :-) We can only hope TT will truly realize what they got in their hands from us for a bargain, and use it wisely to promote Taiwan to the world :-) /Henrik

Indeed, so much work went into producing both "A Taste of Taiwan" and this sequel, "A Taste of Taiwan II" :-) LR Timelapse is indeed one of the tools we are using for the post processing + years of timelapse experience + strictly shooting in manual mode to get those crisp and smooth results :-)

Taiwan is one of the most convenient places, and public transportation is good too. It can be a problem with no Chinese skills when being outside of the bif cities, but there is usually always someone around to help since Taiwanese is very friendly people and Google translate helps alot too nowadays :-)

The place look just awesome! Taiwan Is it a developing nation? Is there a lot of poverty? I really want to know about it

Taiwan is far ahead, with less poverty, compared to other neighboring countries. Taiwan is a hidden gem, and as you can see, it's absolutely beautiful. Just Google search for more, plenty of great info online to see :-)

Thanks for your nice words. As the one of us who is spending most of the time about here for the last 14 years, I can only say that alot probably agree with you that (some) cities are not pretty - but to me, that makes it unique. This is how Taiwan should be. Don't make it too polished and neat, as it simply wouldn't be the same anymore. There are still stunning architecture and amazing buildings and cultural heritage to be found, but there will hopefully never be a beautiful too modern looking skyline :-) //Henrik

If it should have all locations of Taiwan it would last for 1 hour and probably take us 10 years to shoot :-) Kenting just didn't make it. "A Taste of Taiwan II" is made with love and passion throughout 1 year of Henrik travelling back and forth several times between Denmark and Taiwan to shoot, and finally peaking in April 2019 when Jonas went to Taiwan for the first time together with Henrik for 10 days to shoot the final scenes together. In total more than 100.000 photos was shot from various locations all over Taiwan during a period of 12 months, and was finally cherry picked and narrowed down to this final short film, which consists of more than 25.000 photos in their original full length sequences to make this Taiwan travel video.

Really Beautiful but the STORY is missing to be captivating. We've been to nearly all the places in that video in riding a TOUR DE TAIWAN and that video is confusing to jump from one place to another without link

Thank you for your comment, and great to hear that you have been (riding) to most of the places as well! There is no story, as this is not meant to be a traditional video with a storyline - it shows "A Taste" of Taiwan in glimpses. Some people will love this style and enjoy it - and some won't - and that's totally okay, each to their own. We are very proud and satisfied with how it turned out exactly as we planned it - made with ♥ for Taiwan!
