I'm crying. I'm 24 and just sponsored my first young person. She's 17 and her biography reminded me of myself. I hope I get to meet her one day.

I started when I was 23, still working next to university and my small scholarship. That small amount per month is really just giving up going to Starbucks or not getting yet another sweater for your wardrobe, and it can make such a difference!

I am not religious but I did a lot of research and watched video's like this before deciding to sponsor my first child. A beautiful 12 year old girl from Mozambique. I sponsored her Friday gone and I am so exited to be able to help not only her but her family and community. I am exited to get to know more about her, her life, culture and traditions. I am eagerly awaiting my first email or letter. ♥️
