A Tale of 3 breakfasts , Madrid 🇪🇸

The Primemutton doesn't usually get too excited by breakfast offerings , however in Madrid there are always specialities and creative dishes worth trying out.
in Today's vlog mutton tries a traditional breakfast , a creative one and one of his own invention.
As always , The Primemutton brings you food, drink , and travel from the perspective of an ordinary tourist

In some countries, breakfasts can be a functional or basic uninspiring meal . In some however , including Spain , breakfast is worth getting up for with some tremendous variety and creativity. As always all reviews impartial and all food and drink paid for by myself. Which of the 3 breakfasts would you prefer ? Let me know in the comments section below 👇

Looks yummy mr mutton, love these vlogs, helps us brits who are food shy when it comes to trying foreign cuisine. Great work, been enjoying your Seville food tour.

Funny you mention that , Mike. At the event I’m attending I definitely broadened some British people’s food horizons . Easier to try said cuisine in its natural environment though .

I now find I can’t eat the “Spanish tortillas “ in Britain . While they aren’t rocks , there are very hard and overcooked, I really like the runny and moist ones I find in Spain .

excellent video mutton. when we were in Madrid, for breakfast we had the tortilla, although it was the well done version it was lovely. next day we went to the museo de jamon, a bit like a maccy d'ees franchise if you know what i mean ? i had toast with a hole that was filled with a fried egg and salad, strange but nice. in san Sebastian im privileged to have been invited into a gastronomic society and we had huevos rotos, its served with as they call it jam, pronounced exactly the as our sweet preserve but it is actually diced and chopped ham, and as you say you break the eggs and mix well, it was superb, as im vegetarian they only sprinkled on about six pieces of ham ! the Basque tortilla is the extra soft version and i can concur with you that it does run off the plate. have you been to el botín in Madrid ? love your content mutton keep it up.

I haven’t been to El Botín , I’ve walked past it a million times , I use the barbers shop s lot a few doors down . I can imagine the food is quite good but I tend to look for mid range places away from that area (Calle cava baja being an exception) . When it comes to Tortilla, the daddy of the runny ones is tortilla de betanzos . Finally the museo de jamón is ok , I rarely go in but if you want a bit of ham and a drink it’s perfectly fine.

No, I'm sorry that I've never had authentic restaurants gazpacho although I've made my own at home if that counts ? I suppose the nearest I've come to was a supermarket bought one that I had in menorca. My mother made a wonderful cucumber soup for Christmas Dinner, I'm hoping to make that next time I visit the gastronomic society in San sebastian, that would be lovely cold.
