a Tahitian in Tassie - Slab Tour Part 2

Спорт

PLEASE NOTE; This edit will stay up for 2 days. (will be updated on Friday night)
When you go to Tahiti to shoot the world famous Teahupoo, the best surfer in the lineup is local lad Matahi Drollet. But when you take him to a new country that he's never been too, to surf a wave that is so different to what he's used to, then you know this is going to be a very interesting story.
Shipstern Bluff is a very unique wave as you might have seen in my latest edit Day of Dayz. Once again board shaper Dylan Longbottom hosts one of his best team riders where things don't go perfectly as you will see in this short called
a Tahitian in Tassie.
Enjoy.
Special Thx to Danny Griffith
& James Polanowski - for
putting us in the spot to get the shot.

SPECIAL NOTE - Surfers who surf or wish to surf Shipsterns - Please contribute $50.00 AUD to

Remember Shipsterns is a very dangerous wave
and only experienced surfers should attempt surfing it.

The shear physical strength it would take to get your rail back after going over the step on a bodyboard is underestimated.

Laurie's a humble legend. Matahi did so well. Looks incredibly hard to surf backside at shipsterns. Dylan got a crazy one. Young fella charging. Nice camera work and editing. Great crew. Thanks for taking us along for the ride!

Matahi would get my vote as world champ if he had paddled one. The way he dealt with the chop, surge and step, was #1 in my book.
