Hey Recky , can you react to "The Battle of 73 Easting" . This is about my unit ,The Second Armored Cavalry Regiment, in Desert Storm 1991. I think you'll find the story very interesting. I pretty much agree with everything except that we’ve lost our “moral compass”. Due to politics our country has ALWAYS been divided internally, if you want to see all Americans united as one People, just attack us, that’s all it takes. Division forgotten, petty differences forgotten, we become one people in our anger and God help whoever the American People focus that anger on.

I actually dont think thats the case anymore. There are vast numbers that would actually help someone else attack us today. They are being taught in schools/colleges that we deserve it and that we are evil by default as a nation. There are too many here that would relish the thought of us falling as a nation.

Not to mention US geography by default is a nightmare to fight through. You have the Sierra Nevadas on the West Coast and the Appalachins on the East. You also have people living there who know that land better than any foreigner could ever hope to know it. Even if certain states were defeated other states would continue fighting just like in the Civil War. An invasion of the United States is stupider than planning in invasion of Russia during the coldest winter in 1,000 years. Suicidal.

I would argue that that political divide is due to the lack of threats and general boredom (on a conflict level) the US has. We are deeply divided because others profit off discord. We need real representatives of the people , not of special interest groups with money. I believe that we have much more in common than politicians want us to think. I am a proud Tejano; Mexican American vet. I have grandkids that are mixed with white and black. We enjoy many beautiful cultural difference. However, we must accept the past in order to really progress and overcome our failures. Then we can truely raise our heads as a bastion of freedom.

I think if we can overcome the censorship in social media we will be able to overcome the division. The fact is, the only voices given large platforms are a minority of voices - the fringe freaks who would have been ignored in the past. Open up the platforms again and those voices will be drowned out by sanity. We can see it in the fact that the democrats have been embracing those voices and they are facing the probability of the biggest losses in US election history. Special elections have seen democrats slaughtered in the polls. Soros-backed politicians (ie, DA in wokest SF) have been recalled. If the elections that matter have been fortified, the turn over to conservative power will have as strong of an effect. Also, many woke (the cause of the division) companies have been losing substantial money; Disney and Netflix values have plummeted. Other positives that the division is less than what it seems is the media is losing it's ability to shape the narrative and the liberal universities are losing domestic students. What we are seeing by the leftists is a last gasp by a dying group that have gotten away with destroying our values for so long by capitulating GOP. Now that they have real opposition by real conservatives and not RINOs they are showing their true colors The more they do, the more they lose. The only thing that really concerns me is the politicization of groups like the FBI, IRS and Homeland Security. They are persecuting conservatives and, at this point, just need to be shut down.

Lmao this country throws away the servicemen after they're done with them. It's an open secret vets are treated poorly. A "thank you for your service" and 10% discount at Target doesn't treat PTSD or the knee surgery from an old war wound. The country makes zero effort to integrate them back into civilian society after having had dropped them into a war zone for however many years. The skills they spent all those years acquiring seldom translate when they enter the civilian workforce. No a "thank you for your service" is literally the absolute minimum we could do, and that's usually all you get. Actually talk to vets instead of buying into this propaganda and you'll learn the bitter truth of how America treats her veterans.

Another fun fact...there are annually more people entering or trying to enter America (legally and illegally), than every other country on this planet combined. Yet America is regularly made out to be a vicious and racist capitalist country. If that were true...why would so many people try to come and live here?

My family has a history of military service going back to the revolution and every war since. My bona fides are as powerrful as yours. So people of all parts of the political spectrum are patriots and love our country. I just am not the part that wants to oppress everyone who is not white. Furthermore I do not believe that everything the US has done is just great. If you can't see the difference between blind support "my country right or wrong" and the aspirational part of the United States Constitution to "form a more perfect union" then well you may just be the persons who are willing to bring our/my country down.

Edit: the end of this video is 100% wrong. Every single person I have served with, and have been deployed with is ready. My first deployment in Iraq, when our base was hit daily with rockets and mortars, the little kids right out the fence would say how happy they were that we were they. Their families and tribes were able to farm in peace. I can care less what everyone else says. I helped them for the short time I was there, and would gladly go back if they needed me.

They fought for their lives. Today's military fights for their country and their beliefs. I believe that Russia is facing that problem today in Ukraine. The Ukrainian army has something to fight for and are volunteers. U.S military bases can be big and small and are not always known by the inhabitants of the country.

It is far more likely that existing Swedish bases would be expanded to house any NATO military presence in the country. That is the most common way that NATO manages its forces in other member nations, by collocating its people at facilities that are already owned and managed by the host countries.

When they speak of military bases you have to remember that a lot of these "bases" might largely be storage areas and possible intel stations. Intel station would have very few people manning them, as well as with the storage bases. The US uses these storage bases around the world to help us deploy forces quickly. So say we attack in the Mideast, it's easier to transfer the supplies from these supply depos around the world, instead of having to haul it all from the US mainland. So in the case of Sweden I'd guess it might hold some of these supply or intel stations. A lot of these are very hard to locate and aren't widely known to the people of that nations hosting them, sometimes this is local political reasons but also for safety reasons. After all like i said a lot of these "bases" have very few if any US personal during normal operations, and I doubt the local governments would want the locals trying to locate and in the extreme cases, infiltrate these stations, which would be a very bad idea for said locals. Oh and the blurred out segment showed the "mostly peaceful" but fiery protests (riots) from our "lovely" Leftist here in the US.

Training makes us strong. We have technology and we know how to use it before we actually have to use it. also most people are somewhat cross trained. so if 1 man falls out, almost anyone can take his place. i would say being of high moral standard in our actions means a lot. it keeps the world on our side for the most part, which makes us infinitely stronger. without that, i dont think we would be nearly as strong as we are. we dont like bullies or leaders that harm their people or their neighbors. even though its technically not our business. we serve in the military because we have the feeling of duty to our country, as a man takes care of his family. its just something he wants to do. this keep our troops in a perpetual state of very high moral. theres 803 US bases around the world. right now we have people in power that are misleading, untruthful, desperate. i would venture to say that 85-90% of what you see on the US news is not even true and 90% of what is true, you will never see on TV. People are starting to become aware across party lines of what has been going on. many things are being uncovered. if we can make it to 2024, all is well. soon, the current media powers and self centered leaders will fall to the side and maybe we can all come together without constant sabotage of human advancement.

Loved the video, but there was so much that went unsaid, intangibles, and small but significant details. For instance, experience, not a decade has gone by that the US has not been involved in a war far from our shores. Besides the obvious, the US has fine-tuned supply and transportation, America always has enlisted and officers that can train and reassure new recruits as opposed to someone who has just read books or seen a few movies. The military if the US is a meritocracy (well there is politics and more recently wokeness). A lot of the military's budget is for constant realistic training and upgrading equipment so that the guys have the best possible chance for success: knowing you are better armed, trained, and motivated thein your opponent is a huge advantage in combat. Knowing that your country deems you too valuable to waste your life foolishly, knowing the guy beside you is also a trained professional that will have your back just as you have his back inspires the confidence needed to hang in there and keep fighting. On the ships though, counting numbers is a really bad gauge of strength, you must consider the entire picture. Ships for example might be better measured by tonnage than by numbers. North Korea ranked number one because it has smaller ships (same goes for China). A small coastal defense boat is not equivalent to an aircraft carrier, though if you are just looking at numbers it counts the same. Also, the age of the equipment and its effectiveness matters, weapons made in the '60s for instance won't fare well against its counterpart that is only a decade or two old.

Its a very good video but I do think the division in the USA is very overblown and really has only existed for the last 2 or so decades. Historically the USA has had many dividing periods in history, near the founding, Civil War even during the Cold War there was a lot feeling like the country was being torn apart. However we always pushed through and came out stronger after, Its sharpening through friction.

Awesome video! Completely agree with her at the end but I do feel like the US will pull through and become more politically coherent by 2030. That sounds like a long way off but the US has gone through this type of political divide 3 times before and each time it took around 6-12 years to sort itself out. The first was the chaos years directly after the Revolution from 1783-1789. We went through 10 presidents in those 6 years under the 'Articles of Confederation' before the founding fathers wrote the Constitution and things started to mellow out under the 8 years of George Washington's presidency and the new Constitution. The second was the Civil War from 1861-1865, not only was the country war torn but the reconstruction period after the war was slow moving and brutal in it's own right. From 1865-1881 there was more chaos. Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president, was assassinated. The KKK was founded and created terror throughout the south as did the Black Hand. The US did become the largest economy in the world in 1871 but it cause political corruption to become rampant and culminated in Rutherford B. Hayes, the 19th president, stealing the election in 1877 before he was voted out in 1881. After they did sweeping legislative changes to the electoral college things mellowed out again in the 1880's. And the third was the 1960's through the early 1970's, when there were several civil rights marches fighting for equality at the same time the US was dealing with the height of the Cold War. Several civil rights leaders, most notably Martin Luther King Jr and Malcom X, were assassinated, a president, JFK, and several presidential candidates were also assassinated. In the middle of it all the Cuban Missile Crisis happened in 1962 which made everyone sure the world was going to end. In the end the country managed to pull together and work towards fixing some of it's past mistakes and transgressions. And now we are going through another period of transition, for better and for worse, it will be very politically divided like all the other transition periods but in the end the US will piece itself together and work towards becoming better than it once was again.

The administrations of Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon 2x's. They knew in 1964 that the South Vietnamese would not prevail. Any yet the US military kept trying. I hotly contest the comment made above that draftees were somehow at fault for the events in Vietnam. The fault was with our political leaders.

Raytheon has been around for about 60 years. They started out making the big picture tubes in the old big 1960s televisions along with TV electronic circuit tubes for those early televisions , and radio circuits. I am 73 and when I was a teen I would take the Ratheon TV tubes to a drug store and test them on a machine they had there, a tube tester. If they were used up and weak ,there were drawers under the machine to get the replacement tube. The store mgr. would unlock the bottom of the machine and you would find the needed tube in a small box, to buy. It used to be cheap to fix your own TV back then.Today , in 2023, Raytheon is involved with production of specialized aircraft (drones?) ,missiles, electronics ,and military communications.

Recky, You might be interested in playing The Warrior Song - Air Force or Aer Vis. They made a song for each branch of the Military - Army, Marines, Navy , Air Force and Hard Corps. (I think is Special Forces). It’s very fun to watch.

As an American I can say we are divided by our opinions and beliefs but let anyone try to attack our homeland or anything we consider ours or someone we consider an Ally and watch how quickly we band together against a common enemy. It's like picking on a sibling you can do it but if someone else does it's on

Americans are divided right now but when we are attacked we will always come together. That’s the beauty of being truly free freedom is worth fighting and laying down your life for.

6:50 hey man I actually always liked how Sweden does this. I don't know if Spain does it anymore but I think citizens having to serve for a couple years helps build character and interest in what your country does. Most people in the US don't know crap about their government or the military. Even if it doesn't go this far I think making High school students take an elective like ROTC is a really good thing. That's what I did, I was in ROTC for my whole high school life. You make so many close friends you might not have ever befriended without it. It builds understanding between groups of people who as I said without it might never have talked to one another. I had a friend that was a gang banger in Jr High that turned his life around because of ROTC. Now he owns his own business. edit: Reserve Officer Training Corps

Raytheon has been around for a long time. They produce avionics for fighter aircraft, missile and guidance systems, etc. Their most well-known product is probably the Tomahawk Cruise Missile system.

As an American and as a veteran I feel that we are currently going through a crisis of national identity. Who are we as a nation and where are we headed? We are struggling to reconcile our right and left leanings in regards to the social and pollical issues. Sadly I do not see these contrary view points becoming more "mainstream" any time soon. It may take an external crisis as with the attacks of 9/11 for which America will rally as a one nation once again.

As an American, I will not talk politics. But I'll say, a true American patriot, will always protect our founding values. And fight to be free. To have our rights and try to help others. I volunteered for the gulf War. Because I knew my country would send other soldiers in my place. I was not selected because at the time our military had more than enough people. But I was willing to serve. We are going through some things right now , all country's are . But I will always appreciate my country, and be willing to serve it. I'm sure you feel that for your country as well. I wish you the best. My country is not perfect. But what country is?

Scene 16:51- There is an important additional factor that was left out. Having the national will to fight is one thing. Having the ability to fight is another thing. The U.S. has the latter as well due a little thing called the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution. Any hostile foreign military that somehow manages to set foot on the U.S. will not only have to deal with the U.S. military but also an extremely well armed civilian population.

Map was of countries in which US military personnel are deployed to, not just bases or permanent duty stations. Raytheon is a world leader in radar and missile system technology. They are the main contractor that built the HAWK Missile System (Sweden's prior AA Missile system) and the Patriot Missile System...Sweden's current system.

The most important thing to bear in mind is that the Patriots in this country do not waste time arguing with the whiners who are more concerned with abortion rights. We back our country 100% and love our country above everything but God. The division currently in existence is largely moral--those who worship God vs those who feel no sense of responsibility or self accountability. Patriots outnumber the others, we just choose our battles better.

One thing I'd like to clarify if I could. While we do have the draft, it's only enacted under extreme circumstances. And when it is enacted, those drafted recieve the same quality training as any other active duty personnel would. While there were a few draftees who wilfully got dishonorable discharged, most all were proud to stand in defense of their country when their names were called. My dad being one.
