How fun to find a new restaurant to enjoy 😊

We stayed at Coronado Springs in fall of 2022, and ate at Maya Grill. I just told my son last week that I STILL think about this food! I need to go back! I have never really paid attention to reviews, so I no idea it had a bad reputation. I also really loved the vibe and live music! I was just thinking about how I want to stay at a different resort next time, but I really want to return for a meal at Maya Grill. I am so glad you also had an amazing experience!

I was at the Maya Grill years ago, and found it to be a good restaurant then. I never quite understood the bad reviews it's received over the years; but then again, I haven't visited in a while since I went there the last time I stayed at Coronodo (and that was well before the tower). I'm coming down this fall again (for Halcy-Con, will I see you there?), and was trying to find a calm but enjoyable place to dine on my arrival date (to another resort), when you reminded me of this restaurant! I was thinking Mexican, but was dreading the hubbub of Disney Springs after driving all day. A nice dinner at Maya Grill, with drinks atop the tower at the Dahlia Lounge sounds like a great first evening for a long Disney stay. Thanks for putting this flea in my ear! And thanks for your videos!

I stayed there with my son when he got out of the Navy in 2017. All the reviews for that restaurant were not good so we never ate there. We did like staying there. The busses came pretty quick too. I stayed 2 weeks while he looked for a place to rent and a job. He called me just as I was about to board the plane that he got a job, he is still there too and loves it. Your food looks really good.

I have only eaten there once a couple years ago and thought it was fabulous. I have tried to go back a few times since and it just hasn’t worked out. Thanks for the review. I have seen so many bad ones that I have been hesitant to go back but now I will for sure!

I’ve walked by there so many times but there is so much good food at other places at CS that I’ve never wandered in there. Looking forward to seeing how it goes… thanks for sharing!

I'm so glad you enjoyed your meal...there of all places. Again, I really appreciate your descriptive language. This is such a bonus on property considering San Angel Inn is such a disappointment.

I can also say that I had a surprisingly great experience at Maya Grill. I have a friend at work that he and his husband visit often so me and my hubby visited recently to see what it was all about and we also thought it was wonderful!!! Margarita flight was amazing!!

We've been to Maya Grill three times. The first time was in 2021 and we thought it was amazing! We went again that same trip and it was really good but not as wonderful as the first time. We tried it again in 2022 and we didn't enjoy it at all. You enjoyed it so much that I would consider trying it again on our nest trip.

I have never been to Coronado Springs. My most recent surprise restaurant experience was Garden Grill at EPCOT.

I have always enjoyed Garden Grill, Dee!

My son and I ate there in the before times. We were staying at CSR and just so tired we didn't want to eat in the parks. I made an ADR on the bus coming back to the resort. We loved it and I've never understood the bad reviews. Is it the best restaurant on property? Probably not. But for a TexMex at a resort it really wasn't bad. What stood out for us was my son likes spicey food, which is hard to find in WDW but they did have some semi-spicey something on the menu. I went to high school in NM so I know good TexMex and good authentic Mexican and every thing in between. I was pleased with it and would eat there again if I was at the resort for an entire week and had already eaten at 3 Bridges. By the way, if you want really good guac on property, try the new Mexican restaurant at the Dolphin. It is a chain and very much Tex Mex but they make the guac at the table and it's the best I've had on property.

We ate there years ago, probably 2018. We were staying at the resort. We thought it was good.

I just ate there a few weeks ago. Was not told about the pyramid or any of the back story. Deni I am happy for you that you heard all about it but what good is it only telling bloggers? It doesn’t matter I guess because it is not great food and we won’t be back there to eat.

I ate there a few years ago and our food was better than the reviews we had here

I'm glad you had a great experience with the newer menu. My own personal experience is that the menu was more varied and quite frankly more tasty pre-covid. They had removed quite a few faves from the new menu that I deeply miss.

@@deni_sunderly Yep, something we all deal with from time to time. I need to book another reservation and try them out again. Your food did look delicious and we haven't been back for a while.

I have no interest in this restaurant. I do not like the food for the service.
