Another tip I would add to grow your collection is to build or find a community of a few collectors in your nearby area... I am a member a small community of collectors where we would share information and help each other find what they are looking for... We also do gathering once in a while where we buy or trade our stuff... You get to grow your collection and make some friends along the way ...

First off, congrats on your finds Walter. Second, I've been dealing with a wrong situation with my friend and a group we are in. It's a selling group and my buddy is having a rough time and needed to sell some of his collection to make do. It's his first time selling on a site and he made a mistake and those guys tore him up and kicked him out of the group, so he went to another group he's in and tried to sell there. Guys from first group got ahold of people in Second group and got him kicked out of there until people he knows stepped up and told the other group to back off he's a great guy. Now I hope he can do what he needs to without problems. Have a great rest of your week and weekend

Walt, I agree with you on some things. You’re definitely not a scalper. I’ve seen some guys on somebody’s KZread that gets there first thing in the morning or they have someone at the store that gets them some of the boxes so they can get what they want at times is discouraging because everyone doesn’t have that ability to do so, you have some selfish people out there and I agree with you being positive going into the store but at times it doesn’t come out that way I’ve been collecting 21 years for my sons, and I have enjoyed it but things have changed and not for the better people are getting more selfish day by day so it is frustrating for some of the older collectors maybe one day one day things will change maybe hot wheels a change the way they do things but love your show keep them positive and do what you do

Cali is tough.

There's a collector that works at my target, plus they put stuff out at super random days and times. Finding anything good there is tough to accomplish. The best I've found is a beat up treasure hunt, the skyline chase hauler, and a Nascar authentic chase

Love your thoughts on scalping versus collecting. My area very saturated with guys who have things locked up with many of the stores. Not a fan of those types. However, the guys that get out there, go in when the stores open and/or show up before closing - and pay attention to shipping dates - they are putting in the work. More power to 'em.

There are just too many clowns in this hobby now. Hunting in my area is impossible since the stores are all on lockdown by paid off employees. Even the small invite only facebook trading groups are being infiltrated by scalpers asking crazy prices or lowballers. What I have found best is to just stick to your 5-10 friends to trade and deal with. There are still a lot of people out there that have a level head and just enjoy collecting. Love your videos, watch every one of them when they pop up on my feed! Keep it up, man!
