Sir I'm a 18 yo guy, and I'm a math geek. I wanted to ask a question based on the video. As the sir said "it's easy to lose money in market", and very tough to make money. I'd like to argue, in my opinion whenever you take a fresh position, two things are gonna happen (either it'll go up or come down) both with equal probability. Now, since we are here to make money, we will surely do our little bit of analysis and make the move in favor of our position (here we increase the probability of winning). And secondly if the stock moves opposite to our trade, we're expected to cut losses quickly and if it moves in favor then, we're expected to let the profits run. Now even if we lose our 50% of trades, we'll end up making money since profits are greater than losses. Then how could someone lose money? I'm still learning, and I do paper trading. At the end of the day, I always make money. But still I wanted to know if I'm interpreting the market in the right way or not? And I also see that sir said " market is like ocean and I know a spoonful of it". I have opposite thinking. I believe that I know almost everything in the market (I've been watching markets for 6-7 months now) so I wanted to ask, is this a misconception that I have about myself? Any answer would be appreciated. I'm going to start trading from August.

It's not about probability game buddy it is just a mind game, it totally depend on emotional control and to control your emotions is the toughest thing a trader learn and it is the only the which will help you to gain profit, forget about technical indicators, price action etc ( i know it sound dumb but if you will enter into the market you will understand my point by hard way😊)

@@AdityaKumar-ow2db Actually I've also head that indicators are for retail investors to make them feel good on their decision about their position. All that matters is supply and demand which is available in orderbook. I've also heard that the brokers allegedly do proprietary trading by knowing the orders of other traders ( usually referred as front running )

@@fvenf2kbl1xdwxz30 read some books, it's good for knowledge but when it comes to trading take any simple strategy from any good book ( but strategy should have crystal clear entry and exit point with proper stop loss ) and one thing also keep in mind that is risk to reward ,if any strategy haven't good risk to reward leave it.( If possible do 1 hr or at least 30 min meditation, it is not just for fun, it is compulsory need for trader so that you can cope up with losses without irritation) best of luck

Thats what most retailers need. Retailers have zero "philosophical" gyan. Anyone can find strategies online or develop their own but nothing is possible without self control and developing realistic sense of the market.
