I'm so glad to hear I'm not the only one who takes so long to finish a piece. I feel like I need to "live" it in order to paint it. Sometimes the "living" takes time

love these paintings Jess! so inspiring!- did I see correctly? painting the canvas with a house paint as a primer? Also- love your painting pants but u must be very careful..There no paint on them? I want to paint a large canvas too! My dream is to paint large abstracts! hugs!!

Get yourself a big canvas! Love it. I have a few overalls and one is specifically for the "messy bits" :D although I did just get black oil paint on these. Haha. And yes I use house paint throughout the entire process! I use it when I want a matte effect, usually as a wash or to cover specific shapes. I figure if it worked for Pollock it'll work for me
