I hate Jamie saying she has anxiety and depression as an excuse for her behaviour. I have that diagnosed and I never hurt anybody. Usually people with depression don't go out partying and getting blasted. If you want to get drunk, just do it at home and a safe environment

I have alcohol server’s permit in Oregon. We could be held liable if we serve someone-and even if we refuse service-and let them leave if they appear intoxicated and should not be driving and then cause an accident. I have called non emergency more times than I can count to have them follow up on someone who drove off. We have also given free food to guests who are drunk and asked them to hang out without a charge. It is a huge responsibility if you are serving alcohol.

12:23 Moms always just seem to know when something happens. when i was 19, i was in an extremely bad car accident. A witness called my Mom for me and not only did she actually answer an unknown number; the first thing she said was, "what happened". When I heard her voice I instinctively screamed "Mommy" and the witness (who was also a mom) said when she heard me it instantly felt like she'd been stabbed or something. Both the witness and my mom weren't able to describe or explain their physical reactions to hearing that scream.

This is so weird. I saw a post on Twitter about this story earlier today. The picture of the bride and groom were the same. The mom of the deceased bride was trying to take the estate (money?) from the groom/husband on the ground that the marriage was not valid cause it was not consummated. And now I’m getting the background story to Twitter post. Weird. Oh and that driver (can’t remember her name) needs to go to jail for a long, long time.

I never experienced addiction but I do know that a person has to be reckless or a bit of a danger enthusiast. I have a reckless side that I keep under control due to my fears. But that part of me is more visible when I'm bored or feeling a certain way 😅 She was beyond reckless, heavily intoxicated, and it doesn't help that her parents have enabled her.

I don't drive because my medications mess with my reflexes. It's not technically illegal, but it would just be too dangerous. Awful things happen to the human body in car wrecks. We just aren't built to withstand those kinds y forces. Also, always wear a seatbelt. Most people thrown from cars do not survive. Stay safe out there

first of all, NOTHING can defend the choices she made. but even if there were reasons, even if alcohol addiction or mental health played a role (they didnt ofc), even if there was some justifiable cause, what bothers me the most is the utter lack of care for the victim. i cant imagine even being able to live with that. im not a person who struggles with staying alive but i would if i found out my actions killed a person. but she just... doesnt care? THATS what makes her a real threat to society

to me its obvious shes mentally unwell, you dont do that risky behavior when youre mentally ok. and going to drink hopping from bar to another all alone? nah, i dont care how photos with friends she has, that girl was lonely and mentally unwell. what mentally well person goes drinking along in different bars and drives?

Drunk drivers are the fucking worst me and my brother got hit by one when we crossed at a traffic light that was green for pedestrians at fucking 8:35am on the way to school. So imagine this guy is high and drunk playing Dodgems with cars in stand still traffic on a busy highstreet that’s a two minute walk from a primary school mainly with various secondary schools scattered between ???? I just will never understand what logic would tell you to get behind the wheel knowing you’re intoxicated

i agree with a lot of your takes on this case. there are some mental aspects and some parts about addiction and responsibility that i had different ideas on. the fact remains though that she belongs in prison, she needs to get addiction counselling while in there, and her parents have definitely taught her that money talks, and the sheriff is making some side cash as well. rotten mango is not my favorite true crime channel. her cases are filled with conjecture and exaggerations and even here she stated more 'rumors' and used alleged evidence of certain things. if it's a case i'm already familiar with i'll listen to her in the background, but i'm more of a factual person and don't buy in to rumors about certain things or care much about the backgrounds of people who aren't involved in cases.

I belive in God myself, but for you to say that maybe if they prayed this wouldn't happened is crazy. Many people who are very religious have bad things happen to them all the time and vice versa for bad people getting away with alot. I get that you must have faith, but sometimes bad things happen to good people. Are you gonna blame someone was assaulted, tortured, or murdered because they didn't pray for every good moment in their lifem
