I replayed Virgil the spider so much, this gave me chills, I love the visual of the chess game with the light sides on one side and the dark sides on the other, I love the visual of Roman being surrounded by Remus’ tentacles, I love that Virgil doesn’t sing as much as the other two because he’s having (is doubts the right word) about harming them, especially Patton Just this is so good

Okay this is awesome in every way but especially the character choices (I don't know much about the musical past the music so what I'm saying is based of the book). In the book Virgil later shows remorse for his actions and Remus's character wanted to the take the captain position from Roman (aka replace him)

Ahh this is amazing and so many ways to interpret it I found it as this was BEFORE the Virgil left the dark sides they were plotting how to get rid of the light sides so they could take over Thomas BUT as Virgil realized that they were going to hurt Patton he started wanting to back out they probably sent him in to be an inside eye but as he grew closer to the other sides he ended up abandoning the Dark sides Which is why in Cannon when they see Virgil they seem to hate him the most out of the other sides (Idk its just fun to brainstorm and think about)

this is VERY good. virgil being the one to give the reluctant comments broke my heart 😭😭😭 i know you didnt give context for it other than just 'a dark side animatic' but i was watching this thinking of it as a time pre accepting anxiety, back when virgil was still with the dark sides. maybe they had a plan and he went back on it. i can see that happening. ahhhh and when his hair turned black instead of purple! poor boy! he doesnt *want* to do this exactly. but hes not saying no...at least not yet? spider virgil is *very* cool. im always torn between that and cat virgil, because spiders are cool and creepy, which works for the whole 'fear and darkness' vibe, but cats are cool and cute, and virgil acts like a cat sometimes. lately, although i doubt this will ever be canon, ive started to think that if he can change from a dark to a light side, maybe he managed to change animals to? he was a spidery side, then he became a catty side? but still likes spiders, obviously, as seen in his room. but that could just be my immense fondness for cats talking sorry for filling up your comments with weird rambles about how im interpreting the animatic and also where i see virge on the spider-cat thing. this is such a good animatic!!! i love it! 😍😍😍😍

Something interesting I found at 0:59 was that Janus and Remus have both of their hands on the table, showing they're fully committed to the cause and what they're planning to do to take over. However, virgil only has one hand on the table because he's still got his doubts (not only because he's anxiety but also bc he doesn't want patton to get hurt) which is shown later in the animatic. I don't have much else to say I just found that detail to be really cool lol
