Have you thought about starting your own outdoor gear company? With your extensive hands on experience with many different bits of equipment you could design some great stuff.

Wolves Den Gear is a trademark that I don't think is taken. Wolf pack and lone wolf are taken. I am not sure what the likelihood of him starting a gear company is though. It's one thing to know quality and an entirely different story to design it. Even if you can design something making it come to life is much more complicated. He would be risking his reputation if what he comes out with is poor quality as well. Just look at survival Lilly's knife if you need an example of this.

I imagine that has crossed Luke's mind at some point in time. Product design, development, and commercialisation takes an extraordinary amount of effort, and that would mean the end of what he does now with this channel. Unless he outsourced everything, but then you risk so much more with quality and money.

It's great to see the KZreadr continuously raising the bar and providing such high-quality content. By the way, have you heard about the Segway Portable PowerStation Cube Series? It's a versatile powerhouse that could come in handy during your outdoor adventures. It has a massive capacity, powerful output, and even features waterproof technology. Definitely worth checking out!

Hey Luke, thank you for the lovely easy break time from our busy noisy stressy lives. Its so enjoyable to share the sights, sounds and atmosphere from such a wild, peaceful place. You help us all a little to escape. I find the reviews really interesting and useful too. Im sadly past long hikes and all-weather camping thanks to a debilitating illness but your own obvious joy in being out there can still inspire me to be outdoors and for that I thank you. Strength and honour.

Stressy. I like that! That can go in the "Sniglets" Dictionary. "The term sniglet was conceived by comedian Rich Hall during his tenure on the 1980s HBO comedy series Not Necessarily the News. Each monthly episode featured a regular segment on sniglets, which Hall described as "any word that doesn't appear in the dictionary, but should"." (Copied and Pasted).

Hey man, like you I am up in age and my hiking deep in the woods are behind me. I stay close to the house as my wife has a lot of health issues and I need to be fairly close in case something happens. But I usually try to get to a state park or county park to camp in. I do a truck bed camp where I put a tarp over the bed of my truck and use a lawn lounge chair to sleep on. I use that because I sleep in my recliner at home at am more comfortable that way. I have a hard time sleeping lying down. But even if you don't go deep in the woods, if your able to, maybe try the way I do things. Not the greatest as far as camping goes, but I enjoy it. Hopefully, things will work out for you. Another place I go to, just to get away, is my friend has 10 acres of wooded land and I can go out there if I want. And it's not too far from home. Good luck man.

He was talking about the back pack being old school. The one I used back in the 70's was really old school. No compartments or pockets. Was about 3 1/2 feet tall. I would keep my sleeping bag and clothes in trash bags then put them in the duffle bag, so they stayed dry in case of rain. I put my food and utensils in a fairly midsize storage bin and carried them between the clothes and sleeping bag. I did a lot of hitch hiking around the country back then. When it was cool to do it. I had two tarps I always carried with me, in case of rain coming in, I would find a spot to set one up to get out of the elements. These days I am 63 so there is no sleeping on the ground anymore. I usually camp in a state or county park and find me a spot off away from everyone. I put the tarps up over the bed of my truck and use a lawn lounge chair, that is a lot like a recliner, and I set everything up to sleep in the bed of my truck. I do not like tents as I get a bit claustrophobic in them. I like sleeping outdoors with the breeze. I have a couple of Gas One one burner stoves I bring along. Even though I don't go way out in the woods like I used to back in the day, I still really enjoy getting out into nature, even if it's in some state park. Like I said, I usually try to get off away from everyone. But these are great videos. A lot better than some I have seen. Keep em' coming, man.

I think it is OK to clear out the debris and dead wood in any area. That helps prevent forest fires because it denies the fire, material to burn. As an avid camper, I always make sure that I have more than enough firewood because the adage is, "If you think you have enough firewood for the night, gather more." Even if you don't use it, the next guy would appreciate it. In your video, you DO NOT have enough firewood. Not unless you plan on burning 1 stick per hour.

I love the magnificence of the lightning behind the clouds compared to the tiny flickers of the man made fireworks…the warmth of the sunrise…the depths of colors inside the forest. I appreciate your stewardship, protecting the forest. IMHO it’s hard to beat a tarp. Have you ever taken an Amok Draumr hammock in those beautiful trees? Not as hard on a man’s back. Kentucky

The spring of 2021, I went camping, and camped on the bluff just East of the Mississippi River. Had a pretty big thunderstorm just West of the River. That was an awesome light show that night.

I don’t know if you’ve ever tried it, but I use this every time I go night fishing or camping to start a fire. Take a few cotton balls, cover them I need vasoline, and store in a ziploc bag. When you need to start a fire, they will burn for several minutes to get a fire started. Plus the best part is that they are very light weight, and you can use the vasoline to help remove a tick if you get bit by one.

There's no way I could keep up with you in the woods, or anywhere else for that matter. You walk through the woods with the determination of a man on a mission!! I used to be like that, but age has robbed me of the strength and coordination I once had in my legs. I just can't do it anymore, but I do enjoy watching you dive into the various places you go. Thanks for sharing your experiences and adventures with us humans.

Luke👍💪 Nice adventure, thanks for the trip. The lightning show was awesome, captured perfectly multiple times. Tarp and tent is #1 in my book, all weather, all seasons. All was glorious including the weather, just enough rain to make the air cool and smell good. Great filming as usual and well presented, thanks. Take care, see you next time. Enjoy!

18:16 this reminds me of one of my experiences. There was a favorite campsite I found off trail over a decade ago. I returned there every winter for several years, then fell off a little. Last year I went back to find someone/group cut down several green 5-6inch trees and lashed them together with bank line. Not only that, they had four separate fire pits all next to trees which could damage the roots of the nearby trees. The only trace of me was a pit I made that was away from the trees and was surrounds by rocks. Felt like I was camping around litter.

Lol. You're right. I loved Silver Bullet. As a kid, I'd walk in the woods everywhere, sometimes forget the time, and be in the woods when dark fell. Thank God I knew the trails at night, because the least noise I'd be off like a shot, heart and legs pumping, for what seemed like miles. Sweat pouring down my face, legs and arms all scratched up, until I hit the road, settle down under the street light and get my breath. I'd shame myself. But, it the woods, alone after dark, 12 years old, it was real, haints were lurking out there, somewhere.
