I mean bolt ons help alot with a k series. i would be sad to see the regular curve of it was a bone stock engine. The fact that you can even get that kinda power on a stock cam engine is awesome.

I need you guys to hit my S2K up sometime this year, early next.

in 05' i built my car, eg stock tsx engine (Had a type r intake came) %) deg vtc, DTR header, aem ems, and TWM ITBs and it made 259/205 so i 100% with this video. Sweet ride.

my brother has a bone stock k24 block, k24 head with tsx cam, stock injectors, type s tranny super single non lsd, with type s oil pump 4 piston port, with big tube open header. Chassis is dc2 98-99 can't remember well enough but these k24 aren't a joke they're fast asf spanked a fully built b20v that made 226 tuned against my brother k24 street tune.

I remember racing Troy when this car had a b20 in it. Lots of work has gone into this car since losing to a b16 swapped CR-X.

When I finish my k24 build, etune from you guys hopefully...... Edit. For some reason I figured you guys where from the west coast. Just looked up your shop and realized you are in Tulsa. Great news as I am in missouri

That’s some serious power from a bolt on K24. I’m assuming no power steering or A/C. So could I get 300whp with 11.5-1 pistons and good cams, header, exhaust and bigger injectors? CP pistons, assembly by 4piston with non-ported head, only new valve job and stage 4 Drag Cartels. Nice video, you guys do great work, wish I was closer

Port the head and port the rbc with a nice tb size...you should hit 280-290whp

I've been in the race scene and modifying cars since I was 13yrs old. I'm now 45 and this isn't bone stock. Bone stock has always meant as it came from the factory. I get it has stock internals and that's cool. Very impressive for a stock block, heads, cam, etc. But it is not "bone stock".. Neways with that being said it is a very nice build, continue the good work. Just got my first Honda, a 04 TSX. Let the bolt ons begin!!

Guys remember its a gutted hatch very light power to weight ratio makes a fun drag car. Also humble knows how to safely pull as much out possible he is nice enough to give some info but honestly if you found the secret recipe u aint goin share it after all the hard work you have done. You can clearly tell it has a massive amount of timing and vtc angle with m5 fuel keeps combustion cool and no detonation pump gas not possible

Stock motor can mean factory tuned or stock internals with bolt ons. Depends what you mean by it,

What rpm are you guys reviving them stock k24 too ?? And if you had a balancer shaft delete kit and supertech valve train what rpm is safe to rev as I'm using it on circuit racing

Try a DSM... I've got less than $4k into a 600hp+ AWD 5spd. 6266, Link on SD, fuel, bought the built longblock for $1000

I can't imagine what power I'll make in 2100 pound 90 si civic. Doing k24a2 same intake e85 header, built for turns.

I'm kind of late to this conversation but power is an unknown quantity unless measured with weight. 100 hp can spank 271 hp if the total vehicle weight is 700 pounds lighter (just an example) so what I want to know is the curb weight of the car. Then I can make my power to weight calculations to equal or beat these times. Sometimes , within reason it's cheaper to remove weight than to add HP/TQ

I guess I should add what my goal is, I'm swapping a stock k24 into a Fiat X1/9 with the Honda 6 speed. The estimated curb weight will be 1950 pounds. I'm wondering how this compares with the Hondas that are pulling 12s or 11s. I will likely add some bolt-ons where room permits but room is scant in this little car.

What transmission are you running?

Fuel is crazy .... 93 oct buddy made 238whp stock long block just bolt ons

Crazy fast I was doing 11.8 on a 400hp b20vtec turbo eg hatch on e85 smh mine was daily driven tho full interior also lol I wonder what time I would do if fully gutted

That fuel makes a huge difference, bone stock or not.

Did you remove the balance shafts, not trolling just asking if most people remove.

I was thinking u would make a dyno with its original vtc gear. Even if its a honda part u got to admit that the 50 vtc gear is a change in performance. Does it have a type-r oil pump?

The burgundy hatch is sitting on the rev limiter too long between shifts... He could pull a half second by shifting better

I would raise the rev limit 200 rpm and get that shift point dead on instantly.

Pin it for safety. IIRC you can lock it in software to 40° max, but pinning is cheap and a great way to be certain.

so my guess is, straight exhaust, ~10hp , intake manifold ~10hp intake ~5hp, throttle body ~5hp, injectors ~10 hp , pump 0hp ,advance timming ~6 hp fuel M ~15 hp total of ~262hp add a perfected tune of ~15% increase makes it ~300hp
