The cars OMG

What about security? I presume there is a 3 m high wall with electrical wires around the property and it might not be enough. Amazing place in a very dangerous country. I love Cape Town, but unfortunately, I had to leave this place only for security reasons.

Thank you for your reply. ....one of the first lines in the road less travelled,....life is hard. Indeed 20% of the world have 80% of the resources. This is the reality. Life is more difficult for some, than others. Society rewards the wrong people. There are some people who are lazy, and some who rob a bank. Equality of outcome isn't the answer, but part of the reason the world is in such a mess right now is a lack of values. We should stop pretending very wealthy people have done something fantastic and noble to deserve a life of opulence. Most of the time, they haven't. That's the reality. But, to answer your question, all God expects us to do is the best we can every day, and that includes myself.

No clean running water, load shedding power cuts, no municipal services but a very nice property.

I very much like the water around the house but what about the mosquitoes? I also like the glass panes of the garage and it seems the house is much bigger than it is. The size of this house is practical... very nice

If the water is treated with enough HTH and even a bit of JIK... Animals can still drink it and it keeps both mosquitoes and other insects away. The water then stay algae free as well. :)

The thing about a house this expensive is that you want not too plain home and not too busy, but you need warmth and entertainment . But you need to look at things that you can enjoy around and inside the home otherwise it is unreasonable you can just as well buy a small house for a fraction of the price with a cinema and a pool. Big house small house is the same thing because 1's bed stays the same except for the lovely view. The difference is between my house and that house is that I don't have to pay R400k a month over 20 years for the same thing.

the most amazing thing about this house . . .is the woman in the blue dress....even if you take away gravity, I would still fall for her :P

This is my house I don't care what you say! I'm even saving this video whatever. I will however, add a wall or 2 to make it cozier, and minimize the water surrounding it to just one side of the house or L shaped stream. But otherwise, this is my crib y'all!

The idea of living in a materialistically perfect place (like that home) is not hugely appealing. However, their natural surroundings are.

Kenneth 100: of course I do. I live in Germany and rent my apartment from a Nigerian who came to Germany 20 years ago, and build up his business here. I work as an architect for a company coming form cape town. My boss is a black south african who grew up im alexandra, johannesburg. I don’t give a shit about that, i respect them as humans, and don’t reduce them to the skin color they have. 87% of westerners think the same way i do. Just look at election results, and the enormous amount of refugees taken up by Germany

@@blada9307 the issue in South Africa is that the majority of the country is Black, but the vast majority of the wealth is within the minority...and it's not because the minority was more clever...they were more deceitful and had guns and used that to subjugate the native population. Or am I wrong about that? I am all about people being able to live where they want...but the balance of wealth has been soooo f****CKED by European colonialism which the effects are still felt today..... so while it's great to build epic homes in cool places, in a post apartheid South Africa it's hard to not look at the Europeans that live there as colonizers that have wealth gained on the backs of the native population in some way shape or form.

Kenneth 100: you are totally right about everything you said. Colonial exploitation has damaged the african continent extremely. It where european who massacred millions of Africans and held them as slaves. But the white people currently living in south Africa weren’t the ones killing millions. It might have been their ancestors, but not them. Do you beliefe that guilt is transferee by relatives, or even worse by skin color? If you think that way you have the same mindset as the nazis who killed 6 million jews. White south africans can‘t be blamed for the crimes their ancestors committed. If you would say that they still should be held accountable, it would be the same as saying „ you father was a murderer, but we just found out about that and he is already dead, so now you loose everything because of his crimes“ doesen‘t seem fair right? I agree with you on the fact that land and wealth has to be distributed more equally, but just taking someones rightfully owned land ( i know their ancestor didn‘t took it rightfully, but again, it where their ancestors crimes, not theirs) isnt the right way. The issue can only sustainably be solved by the free market. That means creating good jobs, that everyone can afford land. But Just taking someones land will make that impossible. It will send the message to foreing investors that their investment can just be taken any time. In a free market and competion between countrys no company would invest in south africa. But i absolutly agree with you on the fact that sonething hast to change. I’ve been to cape ton last year, and was shook how much wealth but also social contact run along racial lines. You almost only see black hanging out with black, and white hanging out with whites. The first thing which hast to happen is to change the mindset, and re create the dream of the rainbow nation. We are all the same. The only thing that makes us different from is the amount of Melanin in our skin

Yes, the Boers came to where the SAR is before the Bantu, the current majority who arrived from the north to find better life in the country founded and run by the Boers. The blacks that were in that territory when the Boers arrived were the Khoisan. So if you consider the Bantu indigenous only because they are black, you are wrong! The Boers are African in that that have been there for centuries and have a distinct culture from the Dutch. Do you think the blacks in the UK are European?
