I have 2 daughters, 6 & 8, and Living Hope has been my eldest daughters favourite worship song since we first heard it in 2019. I'm 36, I've only been going to church, attending Sunday services at Kings Church International UK and listening to worship music since December 2018 and it has transformed my life. Thanks guys! Y’all are my two FAVORITE male voices and writers out there and it’s inspiring to hear from both of you. Lots of food for thought! Love the idea of continuing to write and rewrite even after you’ve already “debuted” it. I had it happen on Easter this year where I really felt like the Lord gave me a song for that morning with those people and it just really didn’t have the effect I was imagining it would, but it’s encouraging to think about not giving up on it and exploring ways to continue writing it with improved ideas!

As a worship song writer (with dozens of songs listed on CCLI), it's nice to know that even the best worship songwriters of our generation labor over their writing process too.

Wow bro wow. If God is dead then he was alive, he was alive and his name is Jesus and he is humanities only saviour. He lived and died on the cross for my sin and your sin and if you humble yourself he will save you from your wicked ways. I don't know why your on here, I don't even know why I am here to be honest, but i am here to tell you that God sees everything, he knows everything he is sovereign. You say God is dead, well I am here to say that Jesus is Lord and no matter whether you say it in this lifetime or the next you WILL say it. Read the Bible, even if you want to read the part when Jesus dies but read what Christ did for us. I have not heard that song and whether or not it is a good song or not I do not know nor care because I am a child of God not because of anything I did but because my God died for me. I think one thing the secular music industry has over Christian music industry is there’s no way for Christian song writers to submit their songs to artists or churches. Imagine how many other Phil Wickham’s Are out there waiting for their message to be heard and there’s no way to deliver that

I believe God has given me a number of worship songs that can lead others to a closer relationship with Him. Suggestion? For your score, with the magic lyrics you're looking for? Try shouting it with A MIGHTY ROAR! Pouring ALL your heart into it, like Water. Step up the tempo, like you're pounding forth, on the front lines of battle. Try using names like "YHWH" & "Yashua" rather than "god" or "lord" (which even pagan gods use these 2 titles). Addressing Someone by Their personal Name, makes it more respectful & intimate, & moves Their heart WAY MORE! Like? "Next level" power. You reach a new level deeper in Their heart, you impact Them to feel "tickled pink" about you. Music is all about the way you make Someone feel💓😍.

It is unfortunate that so many amazing Christian artists get associated with bad churches. I think we can still enjoy these songs because of Christian liberty but I wouldn't feel too comfortable singing them in a Church service

I would suggest anyone, check out their songs and see to yourself if any band is gospel-centered and right now Shane and Shane are my favorite band.

@jesusfreak They do "Angel card readings" which is pretty much like tarot card readings. Jen Johnson's daughters have posted about the Enneagram which originated from an Islamic Mystic and is very New Age. They have members that do "grave soakings". They have people rolling around, twitching, acting "drunk in the spirit" which is just straight up demonic in their church. This is not the Holy Spirit, but a demonic counterfeit called Kundalini spirit. The manifestations are exactly what Hindu's experience which is what the kundalini spirit is. Please do your own research. You can even find a video about an ex-member of their School of Supernatural Ministry where she gives her testimony about what she experienced in this school. Bill Johnson has also written a book "The Physics of Heaven" which is straight up New Age.
