I discovered Renaissance in 1975, back in the days when we were young and had hope for the future. After hearing the new arrangement of A Song For All Seasons**Renaissance with Chamber Orchestra**I was transported back in time when I first heard A Song For All Seasons.1978...Hearing Annie sing again brought tears to my eyes thinking of the legacy Annie Haslam, Michael Dunford, Betty Thatcher, John Tout, Terence Sullivan, Jon Camp, Jane and Keith Relf(1969-70) all have so artistically and beautifully gifted to the world.

First I d like to say this is one of my top 5 songs by Renaissance. Annie does go flat on just a couple of notes right at the beginning, but OMG she quickly realizes it and gathers herself TOTALLY. AT 9.31 SHE SHOWS she still has it ALL she has backed off the mic by at least 2 feet and has soo much power and the end note well it brings tears and chills. A wonderful wonderful performance of this song. If this does not touch you ,well you better check your pulse. The Chamber Orchestra was great also. I wish I would have been there.

Yes, gave me thrills -- always gets to me when i listen to this song -- but it's my first time seeing it performed. well..... How i wish there were a video of live rendition of this song dating back to 1980's or at least 1990's. Since there's none I'll say a few words on this one. i was following intently her every breath. It takes a very courageous, truly professional (and super-talented) vocalist to come out and get it made - forty years after..... Time is merciless : Ian Anderson can barely sing, Peter Hammill mostly speaks out his songs in concerts in the recent years..... What Annie has shown is still good singing. Her vocal cords have aged but the spirit within her is still .... stiff. Excuse me my English , i am stoned and i am literally feeling every word i am typing , confusing and running out of them. Awesome performance - i am so happy this video even exists. Instrumentation is fantastic. Sound. .... I'd have liked it if it were a 1978 music video but ...this is fantastic how the band sounds nowadays! I certainly should have watched it at least two years ago. I'm glad i have now. Renaissance is one of the really greatest (live) art-prog- bands of all time.

I was lucky enough to see the band perform at the south bank center in London with a full orchestra with my Professor from Birkbeck College , University of London. That you Tom for introduction. The music soars and lifts the spirits to new heights every time your hear it. It been an honor to listen to your albums these past 40 years and I enjoyed your first sight and sound performance broadcast on BBC 2 and stereo FM radio more than any moon landing Renaissance is the premier band and has talent beyond measure. Treat your ears, your eyes, your every breath, to something truly beautiful and majestic. Wonderful music lives forever thank you

This was the first album I bought by Renaissance- it was for my mom. She didn't like it but I did and ended up buying all their albums within about a week! Not normal for a 17 year old rock-n-roll fan. The rest was history, seeing them whenever I could in the 80s. Good times and so great to Annie still at it on this version!

Wow.... It was their first album i taped off from my friend's cassette taped from an American CD !))) "Song For All Seasons", without a track list. Just the name of the band, the album and the music. I had fallen for Jethro Tull a year or so ago.... Imagine how it clicked with a 17-year-old like me ?? In the 1997 Ukraine :-) :-) Fantastic memories..... Northern Lights , of course... Many years after i was able to see the music video !!!... -- We had lived "behind the iron curtain" until , say, 1990 and getting vinyls from "the capitalist West" was a challenge. Some people ran this kind of business :LP's or CD's cost a lot, so they would buy them and made copies on reels or cassettes and sold them to fans like me. And that was heaven on earth , dude. ... And the way i have taught myself to speak English. Hi from the Ukrainian Kingdom , Shawn. Happy new year 2022 ;-)

I am a self described ;) symphonic rock expert. Bought it for 45+ years, learned how to play lots of the songs, play several instruments, etcetera. Taste is personal but I am not too crazy about - for instance - Yes, because I often find it contrived music, "Let's see how many chords we can put in this song and don't forget to change the key all the time"... I am more into Genesis, Camel, King Crimson, Hatfield and the North, Caravan, RUSH, you name it. Having said that : This album has been in my top 10 of symfo for YEARS. And very high on said list. I think this is simply a perfect album and it ends with this song; With A Very Big Bang. The way Annie sings the last couple of lines is absolutely unbelievable. And the bass guitar sounds more Rickenbacker than even Chris Squire could manage! How many stars can I give this album? Add two more to that.
