it is horrifically disappointing and absolutely baffling that the devs made it so that AI only spawns near large groups of players (40+), so if you hunt or play solo your screwed, I have no clue why the devs changed it to be this way in the recent patch, it was %1000 better before where AI would just spawn in there appropriate zones, now nothing will spawn unless 40+ players are nearby. I have starved to death over 60 times now where as before I never starved, since evrima launched I've always been able to find food in some capacity, now its a barren wasteland, you can only survive as a herbivore now or you have to form a absolutely massive mega pack to live now. I can only hope the devs listen to our cries as they have in the past when they get back from their end of year break to implement a reversal on the AI change, cause as it stands they just made the gameplay loop untenable and impossible to have fun with as a solo player who explores.

Thats not entirely true. They def made the AI spawn a lot less, but i managed to reach fg on servers with only like 5 people on the entire server...surviving off of AI. Its more like when youre young, they spawn...in certain places...and you have to be in those places. But once adult, then they almost never spawn.

I love herrera but just with the complete lack of AI, all i could find in yesterdays session were 2 bodies and 1 dino, all were other herreras that died of starvation and one that was in the process of dying of starvation and i was forced to cannibalize them all, which sucks as I always like to be the anti-cannibalism friendly player but each time i was on the brink of starvation. poor guy didn't understand why i started attacking him as another herrera. it hurts man

If you're struggling to find players/food stay around NorthEast lake and East pond, and i believe south too. that's where most players stay at regardless of server

You can hold ctrl to slide down and don’t waste stamina

I love the Herrera. It's easily 2nd to the Deino for me in my rankings. But it's damn hard to grow one to adult with a full diet. But then just look at what they can eat to get that diet. Crab. I can't remember the last time I saw a crab. Tenno. If the Tenno is a player, it won't let you jump on it more than once. Same if it's an AI one. One landing and it'll either attack you and kill you, or if it's smaller, it'll flee and you've zero chance chasing one down. Oh! And when was the last time you saw an AI Tenno? Boar. Well... They've killed me as a Juvi Herrera. So it's a hard one to take down but not impossible. Bullfrog. They're as rare as hens teeth. You can walk by 99% of rivers and lakes and never see or hear one. In fact, I can't ever remember seeing a frog in a lake. Deer. They'll always run. You'll chase them and you'll make a racket in trying to kill one. and once killed, you'll have to run away because the noise you made will attract any other predator for miles around. Hypsi. They're as rare as hens teeth and as fast as -fuc- something really fast. So good luck catching one of them. Chicken. They're not only rare, but they run like Usain bolt and in any terrain bar a pathway, it's hard to even spot them let alone catch one. Dryo. Can't remember the last time I saw one. Petra. In all the hours I've done on the Herrera, I've seen just 2 of these once fairly common fliers. Both within 15 mins. Both got eaten by me 8-))... Bipee. They're as rare as hens teeth. They'll stick to water sources so as soon as they spot YOU, they're gone. Goat. They're as rare as hens teeth. Can't recall seeing one lately. Turtle. Not seen one since the Herrera dropped. Galli. They're as rare as hens teeth and good luck in chasing one of those down. And even if you're an adult and end up fighting one, there's a good chance you're the one who'll end up fleeing and treeing yourself. However. Shoal fish are fairly common on some rivers. But for some daft reason, they're NOT even on our diet. So you'll catch and eat them just to survive. But not to live and flourish. So while the Herrera is great fun to play, keeping a good diet is nigh on impossible. *Now for the worst spawn point for the Herrera.* The swamp. *Never spawn there.* I've done it three times now and on each occasion, I died from starvation. No shoal fish. No frogs. Not any AI. It's a baron area devoid of any life. Which is ironic as swamps are normally teeming with life.

Give it time and people will start playing the other dinos again. Especially if they fix stam. Playing ptera right now is near impossible thanks to stam (also that school fish was impossible to find for some reason). Theyll be back from break soon and hopefully fix what people are complaining about, such as low AI spawns and stam issues. As a dilo, i ironically have no issue finding goats and deer...until i become an adult. Then they all just disappear and nothing but boars. Theres a lot they need to fix.

Believe it or not. But a couple nights ago, Dondi was a Pachy who took an an egg on the server I was on. I was Deino and had Pachy friends so naturally, my 75% grown Deino was curious about the new borns. Especially as Dondi was one. His best quote was, _"This is a horrifying amount of predators sitting on me right now."_ He was asked, via me to one of the Pachys, to get back into the office to fix the game. However, he didn't comment 8-))...

@@Truesandman NP. I'm still going to play Deino or Herrera even though they are either quite hard or hard. And I'm sure that the AI spawns will get sorted out along with the incessantly dark weather the game has. It's no fun at midday to still have to use your NV to see what's happening. And I'd like to see the diet of the Herrera sorted out too. It really needs to have shoal fish as one of it's diets. Not just something to sustain it. maybe to replace the Tenno as being one? However. One thing I forgot to say was good video ;-))...

I miss the spiro days. some would say the map was terrible but that's because they didn't know the map that well..... and because it was very flat. But On spiro i could go to the north east beach and find sea turtles. it was also a popular spot for ptera's which when I play troodon I would wait for while snacking on compy's until one showed at the puddle. it was also nice to glide around as a ptera with a birds eye view of the other players interacting all across the map. the only issue i had with spiro was the huge deino population. you couldn't drink any body of water deep enough to hide a croc because there was guaranteed to be a croc. In gateway it's so restricting it's like they don't want you exploring in any sense because you'll definitely starve to death. you're essentially stuck in the migration loop which often leads to areas with no food at all. so here we are with this huge beautifully crafted map, and we're not only confined to about 5 or 10% of it but it's often times is skewed with either ridiculously thick fog or ultra dark night time.

We have gone from nightmare monster to tree assassin. Honestly, I consider this an upgrade.

i know this was made over a month ago but the devs have changed things a bit such as stam/ai - also a tip i learned watchin vids is if u hold ctrl while hangin onto the side of a tree u slide dowm :) love the gameplay! ❤️

I'm doing as good as I can be! And thankyou😊♥️ I know it's been too long since I've posted anything, and I hate that. For quite a few reasons, unfortunately. I'm at the time in my life when I really have to grind and get things together irl which, as you can imagine, is extremely difficult and taxing. The Isle has been difficult to throw myself back into when I have free time because I would rather just play something else or sleep lol. As far as PoT goes, last I played it raptors were extreeeemely OP lol, and then again, I may have just been bad. I've been tempted to do a vid on it and see how it goes. May do one in the near future when I get the chance. Thanks for sticking around though! When things get a bit smoother and everything isn't as overwhelming, I'll get back to putting things out 😊

I think you can eat the little fish that jump out of the water. If you find them near the shore, they might save you from starving.

Just comeback after they fix the AI, currently they are on holiday so with the way it is right now, no amount of begging will matter cuz they won't see it Basically, wait till their back

Barren WAsteland. No it´s not only you who feels that way. Truth be told...it´s dead and it´s extremely creepy. The previous update we had at least a little ai but this update not a single thing spawned making Gateway desolate and eerily creepy. Idk why they changed ai spawns but it´s stupid. Especially considering how they did it High Populated areas: Tons of AI Low populated areas: No AI If I am in a highly populated space I hunt other players and not ai. Again. This is extremely stupid in my opinion. You don´t even know populated areas anymore after all migrations are more or less broken and not a lot play herbis in general most of the time.

Lost 8/10 of my 1st 10 herras due to starvation. It's honestly gotten quite frustrating and very boring ☹️

For me this game has become unplayable. The stamina regeneration now is a fucking joke, makes you sit around for ages and the lack of ai has only gotten worse. I don't know what the Devs are smoking but it must be some bad shit
