Well. The whole concept of Sing for you was about loneliness and it was derived from a poem about a whale called Alice. This poem is quite famous tho. It's called "The Loneliest Whale in the World" who is an unidentified whale species, being the only whale emitting a call at 52-hertz. While the astronaut/space concept was derived from a story of an astronaut who spent 48 minutes in the spaceship and comeing back to earth saying that those 48 mins were the longest and most loneliest of mankind. If you combined both of these concepts, this song already potrayed the whole story about Exo. How the mv showed being away from home being somewhere unfamiliar (scene where the whale and astronaut in the space) -- being isolated . If you could see there were a few scenes where a few members dissapeared (probably represent the members who left or have fight amongst themselves). Some also said that this song was also for the fans (exols). Because the song/mv seems to talk about how everyone in their lifetime would meet a low point where they feel most isolated but this song will be there to warm everyone's hearts. For me i think, this mv is mostly about how they overcome those obstacles cause you could see they potrayed their bad moments or hard times but near the end of the mv the members were coming back, smiled and laughed together which showed us they've become one and will keep living on for themselves and us who loves them. In conclusion, Exo were showing us how much the members have gone through when the hard times hits them but because of those who supported them and no matter what, they patched up strong again!❤ Hope this will help you somehow... The concept is actually quite beautiful❤ it's not just a whale and an astronaut floating around the space😂😂 Glad you got Jongdae!! love your videos

I’m proud to say the first kpop album I ever got was the mama album when I went to Japan in 2015 for a school trip and I told my host sister to take me to a cd store and pretty much raided it and ended up taking home two luggages full of exo merch. AND the last day I was there happened to be the day their lost planet came out and is truly a blessing that we were still there to buy it 😅
