Just bought this watch , wear it for a day , and my first impressions is as follows: 1. Very nice and readable dial and big round indexes. Great lume! Hands are great too. Logo and text above 6 could be better. Red arrow in seconds hand is very nice. 2. Very nice (and comfortable) crown at 4 that feels robust. 3. Case beautiful designed and built. Thickness at 13mm (thinner than most dive watches i saw) gives a classy look. Diameter is perfect for a 17 cm wrist. 4. Bezel perfectly aligned, clicks nice, no return, feels robust. 5. Movement has been +5 sec in 24hours. Date change immediate ,a little before 12. 6. Bracelet could be better , but for me is ok, gets the job done. Overall, it is a very nice sporty watch, that is easy to wear (not very heavy) and looks away more expensive that it is. Very Happy to own it. Recommended!

I think I heard somewhere that starting sometime in 2020, Orient no longer assigns a "nickname" to their watches. They simply use the reference number for ID. I could be wrong, but; pretty sure I heard that from a reliable source. I like they looks of that black. If I were currently in the market for a diver, I would pick that over any Seiko in that price range. 8.5 inch wrist, so; no problem.Very cool watch, sir!

Kamasu or Ray 2 are a great size. I own a Ray 2 and love it. Compared, for example, to a Seiko SKX or SRPD, it looks so much slimmer (to me, it's the bezel design that makes it look slimmer, on the Seikos they are more vertical). The one shown in the video is still too big for my liking - but if you like the 43mm case and 51mm lug to lug go for it - the design is beautiful.

All watches were under $250 each. Of course, I also got the gshock casioak with my Kamasu. Only wish they came out with a Ray 3 that has sapphire crystal. Orient is killing the budget dive watch market though and even the Ray 2 out specs seikos dive watches up to $600 being 20 bar. And is still better then Casios haha

I have had a blue Triton for over two years. When I saw this new model, I realized Orient was probably discontinuing the Triton/Neptune and picked up a black Triton while I could. I do like the longer minute hand of this new model and that it wears a little thinner, but like having a power reserve and full minute markings on the bezel (not just 15 minutes). My other Orient divers are a blue Ray II, a green Kamasu and a blue Orient Star Diver (RE-AU0302L00B). The Tritons have the best configuration of indices and lume of all my watches. I do not like totally losing an index to a date or day/date window. The combination of round and quadrilateral indices makes for very rapid reading of the time in dark conditions.

I like the looks. More understated than many. Also, the inhouse calibre is nice. But for the money, a pressed clasp with a generic locking mechanism and hollow end links is a downer and takes away from the plus of the head piece. They could also go with better polishing on the case. I guess I'm spoiled with the CW light catcher style cases. Those are amazing.

I recently bought a Kamasu. I admit I do like the cleaner dial here with the single date at 4 and the round markers. The bezel also looks better with the Sub style lines. However the size and value of the Kamasu is better. Also I think you really need to replace the bracelet with a Strapcode miltat one to really enjoy this watch. I replaced mine and it made a big difference. 400 plus 100 for a strap starts to get expensive for entry level. Good review video. Would be cool to see Orients line of divers all lined up to compare sizes.

If anyone is scared of the size and weight, on paper its seems like it wears heavy and clunky, but this watch wears super light. Its about the same weight as the SRPD, and it even feels more comfortable than that watch for me

This watch suffers the same problem as the Kamasu - sapphire crystal with no AR coating. I would rather have mineral crystal at a lower price, or sapphire AR at a higher. Index of refraction for mineral crystal is 1.5, and sapphire is 1.76. That means uncoated sapphire has much more glare and dial washout.

With 500$ you can buy a Lorier Neptune 3, witch is a much better value, the bracelet is much better quality and the clasp is much more solid, you are getting a miyota 90s5, thaa as f is males better than the one orient is offering with this watch and you are getting a lug to lug of 47 mm, that suits a lot more wrists than 51 mm. The lorier neptune 3 will probably be my next diver watch acquisition. I know it’s a micrograms and not everyone likes that, but the offer much better value than normal watch brands. I personally love microbrands. Great review Teddy by the way. Love to watch your videos.

Get a 39 mm Glycine Combat Sub, it's 39/40 x 46 x 11.3 mm. Much thinner, smaller, with better bracelet and better in every way except for the lume (but still holds very well). Similar price point.

When i hear -15 / + 25 per day I just wonder why they would not lower that margin a bit? I have a ray raven 2 and the watch sits well below that threshold. Nothing special of course in terms of timekeeping, but safely inside. That daily deviation is just sort of…funny ☺️
