Why You Should Simplify Everything if You Want Results That Last.
Getting good at, or accomplishing what you want is way simpler than we make it. As someone who excels in multiple areas (humbly) I really want you to have the same success I do.
Hope this helps.

DJ’d professionally with a free app on my iPad, made 7 albums made almost exclusively with free apps on my iPad, have made almost all of my KZread videos in iMovie and make all my thumbnails in a free photo editor…hell, I do most of my workouts at home with a backpack 🤷♂️ Keep it simple…limitations breeds creativity 👌

I think that's a good topic to discuss in general actually, now that you bring it up. Forcing a sort of limit on ourselves.
It’s refreshing and inspiring to see so many polymaths in the comments.

Yeah it's interesting huh? I didn't even know what that word was until a few days ago. "polymaths" Lol. I'm glad I can contribute to the community in someway.
This video came to me at the right time, recently I have been overloading myself with weird routines that ruined the balance of my comfort, but from this video, I got a message that taking small steps in knowledge and strategy improves you more than learning everything and being overwhelmed by it all. Thanks.

Yes absolutely! I think we all fall victim to overdoing it because we see ‘gurus’ claim that they do such things. But real results truly do come down to keeping it simple. Glad it helped!
I've been watching your videos and I hope I can figure out how to use what you're saying and apply it to make myself more actionable in my own personal life. I also play guitar and sing, as well as am looking into a career in software engineering/cybersecurity.

You’ll get there ✅ , just take what I see and try to apply it to yourself as best as possible. 👌 I try to lay it out in a Way that you can apply it realistically to your own style. Since we all are different.
Amazing channel! You said all of the thoughts that I needed to hear. Thank you.

i love the way you think, I’d also call myself someone who has multifaceted skills (drawing, piano, guitar, ceramics, psych, other stuff). i love seeing someone who embodies that drive for creation. i think it all starts with belief. the brain is much more resilient then we know. love your vids excited to watch more

Hey appreciate it! And that’s awesome. Drawing is something I wish I could do, but just isn’t my field sadly Lol. But you’re correct, it’s a fulfilling lifestyle once you can believe that everything is doable like you said. Definitely have a lot more to share on this in future vids 👌

Appreciate it 🙏, and no problem, I think it’s so easy to overlook how simple things can be.
The fundamentals are really important for anything in life!
Just came across your channel and absolutely love your content. I watched a few of your videos and I like how you don't preach becoming obsessive and cutting off everything, just doing what you want to improve first and reward later. Could you make a video on HOW to decide what hobbies you want to pursue? At any point I want to do so much but not sure what to focus on and how long to stick to one.

Hey thank you! 🙏, that’s actually a topic I was drafting up today! You aren’t the first to ask so I’ll most like prioritize that. It will mostly be me laying out what really clicked for me, and some concepts to take away. 👌
Thank you for making this

Hey Vaughn great video like always. I was wondering could you do a quick video on how to stay the course when learning high level technical skills like software engineering. at times i get discouraged when facing a difficult problem or just staying consistent overall. Any tips?
@vaughngene

Good point, I think I can make a video on that sometime. In software though you HAVE to solve things one small step at a time, If you look at the whole project (a mistake I used to make), you may get overwhelmed. For example, Rather than saying, “I have to create this page, with functional JavaScript and make sure it looks good on all the devices” Just literally break that down into 20 steps. 1. Code the HTML 2. Code the CSS Mobile first 3. Check flex boxes 4. Add media queries for tablet and desktop, And so on, Whether it’s front and or back end, breaking it down like that is far less stressful. I actually learned that From Aaron Jack, the software engineer KZreadr. That is a simple example but it applies to even the more advanced JavaScript or backend process too. 👌
Hey, I've got a question. I'm someone who loves to learn multiple things, I'm a software engineer, I make video games, and I'm passionate about learning the piano and learning art among other things. I noticed you are a polymath and would love to know how you managed to learn multiple things. Did you focus on one thing at a time or did some time management to learn more than one at a time? Or maybe something more freestyle so to speak. Would love a video on this:)

You’re in luck!, I literally just recorded a video about this yesterday, I just have to edit it and make the background music for it, and it will be up in a few days or so 👌 In a nutshell, one at a time, but there’s some concepts I’ll go over in detail regarding that and why.
Awesome. 😊 I learned a lot, thanks. Btw, with headphones, the background music was kinda too loud for me. Other than that, great job, you should be very proud.

7:12 The complex tasks in anything ruin the goal because you're too focused on the end result. The simple fundamentals and learning are so key. That's why whenever i teach firearms, I always stress the fundamentals.

Can you elaborate more on the living life as systems part? Do you mean instead of working towards a goal, just have the general idea of "I'm going to do Piano today"? If so, how do you also ensure that you're staying on track for those things, that you're learning the right stuff and not just doing the same stuff again and again
@vaughngene

Hey, I actually go over that I my previous video about how to learn anything fast. But the short answer is to ensure that you are always learning something NEW everytime you sit down to practice or study. This applies to just about anything. Particularly in Language and Music though. Review is nice, but practice should be mostly what you are not comfortable with. If you do this everyday (or almost), and spend your other time polishing what you know, overtime you'll naturally have a large database of polished work to show. I'm glad you asked though so I can make a standalone video about this for more clarity! It's probably something I should really go into detail about. Thanks!
I just read ESSENTIALISM. He says you can achieve more by doing LESS. Seems a lot like what you are saying. Nice intro- make the guitar part louder! Are those weighted keys? I just played the Yamaha M8X 88 weighted keys and synth. Hand was a bit distracting. Less is more! 😀 Good tips though. Fundamentals are key. Yes, our brains can only process

I rather have it all in one go. People can just come back when they want to refresh the ideas or find a different channel. Like a textbook. And the keyboard is weighted yeah! Allegro III. Thanks for the input. 💪
@MOAB-UT

@@vaughngene Nice on the weighted keys. Shame you will have to sell, then re-purchase in the states. Get that Yam. I mentioned- it's $5k though! Worth every cent. You will want some nice studio monitors to go with it. The Allegro is decent- a lot of bang for the buck. You make it sound like a more expensive keyboard. Less is often more. I hear you on the one take. Do whatever you want. Just saying, people these days in the US have about a 3 second attention span- and I am being very generous. You will see when you return. It's gotten much worse. Whilst your theory is logical, no one is going to watch all 26 minutes, or break it up and come back. At least most won't IMHO. Anyway- all good stuff. Keep up the good work.

I oddly have a very high viewer retention rate to my suprise Lol. It's something I really don't care about, but all the videos are quite high. & Keyboard sound mostly comes from how you EQ it, Extremely minimal and not overdoing it. A $200 keyboard can sound like a $10k one with the skill.
