A simple UX exercise to validate product features and requirements

Ғылым және технология

This is a really simple way to get everyone on a product team - including clients or stakeholders - to focus on what really matters, and what's really possible. It takes no more than 15-20 minutes and works wonders with groups.
It's quick and informal, and isn't meant to be a fact-based evaluation. The purpose of the exercise is to get stakeholders - who are often very resistant to questions or challenges to their required features list - to re-think their assumptions.
That's it, nothing more. You're not after empirical evidence here - you're trying to get every human in the room to realize that operating on pure assumption may not be a good idea ;-)

This is a really clean and neat technique to prioritise that balances out the qualitative through a quantitative method. Thanks, Joe! Although I had a question about the importance of calculating the spend? Like if the total spend goes higher for one column, should it be used as an indicator to rework the rating assigned (e.g. tweak the numbers to match upto the total) or is to work out which opportunity to keep and remove?
