Great tips .I plan on cutting down some pine trees around my farm and thought of using my 3 point hitch chipper on the tractor to mulch up pine bark . . I wish I knew about this pine bark mulch sooner in my farming career.

Awesome idea! It would be great if you made a video on how you mix your dirt with the ground pine bark for potted vegetables and plants!

Haha thanks! Make sure to use my new method if you can from my latest video. If not this method still work, but make sure the pine bark are medium in size and are dry.

Yes pine bark can be incorporated in a lot of different soil mix and perhaps one of the best in my opinion. If you are lucky depending on where you are you can get them in smaller sizes already made and packed.

That is a smart thing to do. Cannot wait to give it a try.

Nice solution. You might try soaking your pine bark & then freezing it to allow the expanded-water break apart the nuggets.

Cool.

Empty bag before it is full - the vaccum will work better.

That's a lot of trees! I would use my new method and approach. On the highest definitely, but make sure your pine bark is pretty dry and hand sort out all of the non pinebark chunks...etc..

What brand and model number is that mulcher ? I want to get that exact one . Thank you so much!

I had to use my hand breaking those medium nuggets into smaller pieces for the blueberry plant. Smh not fun at all. Lol

so lowes sell 2 sizes of pine bark. a large size and a small nugget type. the prices are about the same. why don't you just buy the small nugget type and save all that work?

The smaller size bags are not always as “small” per the description for our soilless mixture needs. On rare occasions for where we are at, I do find one or two out of many. I have a new shredding method that actually prefer larger size biggest to shred the bark into the perfect size for our containers.
