Dear Paul, I have followed you to draw as a beginner for about two weeks. I am so appreciated for you and I learn a lot. I do not know how to express my thanks, I do not know if you can see my message here. I am form China and stayed in American just a few of months. anyway, I like your teaching type and your amazing drawings. Now I am not afraid of drawing now. I found it is literally not difficult.

Thanks, Paul! I really loved to draw but one day I stopped. When my mother told me to draw what I like most, I looking for how to draw nature and found your channel. Thanks for opening a new path in my life and now I'm inspired to be an artist.

Beautifully done! I tried out almost all the trees you've taught to draw while in a boring lecture and they turned out quite good! Also, a request; would you please put in a tutorial on how to draw a tree from the underside? You know, the picture you get when we look at a tree from below...the sun rays and the foliage. I tried and it turned out to look like a shaded and tangled spiderweb... Thank You for your instruction!

Yes, but you'll notice out is not an exact copy of the photo. I'd prefer people to draw from life but that isn't possible when making the video. Paul

Hello Paul. That’s a great technique that I have to try for trees and other things too. I’ve been trying all kinds of ways to draw the California oaks. They are so beautiful. I haven’t got it yet. Thanks for your videos. In the interest of audio fidelity, I must comment that I'm struggling to hear your commentary over the "background" music in this one. I'm not opposed to music but I'm much more interested in the words you are saying. I trust that you meant for me to hear them. Cheers!

Hi Wade This afternoon I have just received a pair of very good headphones bought especially for the reason you mention. I have always done the balancing between speech and music by listening to my speakers, which in this case sounded OK. But through the headphones you are right, the music is a little too loud, apologies for that. It won't happen again. Cheers Paul

I can draw the tree, but it's going to take more than one session for me to do so; my right shoulder, which is my dominant arm, collapses after just a few minutes of such activity (or any activity, actually) due to a massive injury incurred six years ago. It doesn't stop me from drawing, but it does force me to draw much slower, with many stops to give the shoulder a rest.

Yes, I agree the balance on this video has favoured the music a little too much. I have invested in new headphones so this won't happen again.
