Children enjoyed playing a game...so they stopped studying...Satan confirmed. SMDH

Yes, I remember that time when I myself almost started worshipping satan after I missed doing my homework during a particularly late night of playing Crash Bandicoot on my Playstation One. It's amazing how closely linked not studying and satanism really are...

James Cameron was very interested in directing Dungeons and Dragons and he went to negotiate with TSR on a deal in 1993. Apparently, the manager of TSR pissed Cameron off when she asked him what qualified him to direct a Dungeons and Dragons film. This was not long after Terminator 2 became one of the highest grossing movies of all time.

2:19 I loved the "Book Of Erotic Fantasy". It was tastefully done. No extreme perversion, extreme S&M, etc. Americans need to "chill out" and be more open like Europeans.

I believe there has always been this cultural difference, where over here in Europe rating agencies are far more likely to give something a higher rating if there's violence but are not so bothered by sexual content. I think it's the opposite in the US, but I'm no expert.

@@HarbsNarbs Yes, it is, unfortunately, the opposite in the US. It is as if the US wants lots of violence and gore in Video Games so as desensitize the youth for the Military-Industrial Complex.

@@RPGmodsFan Now you're just hearing what you want to hear. Why then have so many U.S. news outlets and politicians for so many years have to censor and remove violence from video games. And if you also think the U.S. government is contacting gaming devs to ensure they are violent so kids can be indoctrinated, you are just like these shams from the '90s we see stating DnD is the occult.

It's surprising how ignorant people are still really that ignorant today. Just over more dangerous things. Great video. Liking the series so far.

LOL. That was funny, notably the erotic version that triggered a code of conduct limit. Wow, I will honestly presume it is not only because of one erotic D&D guide.

The game is great, but I liked the art better in 2nd and 1st ed when they revamped it in the early 80s. It's fantasy so the art matters, imo

The only version of the Forgotten Realms guide that I own is the one shown at 5:13 of the video. I was surprised (when I found it), that there is no mention of Baldur's Gate, specifically (that I could find, anyway). Do you know why? PS: The only other D&D book I have is the 4th edition PHB shown at 9:27 of the video. I am such a D&D loser, clearly!!

I know why: you're blind. Try using the Index in the back of that 3rd edition Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting you're talking about. I suggesting looking for......Baldur's Gate?

@@JGT42 Good idea. I found a few references. The write-up was short, but there is something there. I guess I was expecting more as I thought Baldur's Gate figured prominently in the lore (but that is probably due to the fact that my experience is entirely from the video games). PS: You did not need to say I was blind to point me to the index :)

Anything after 3rd edition is garbage imo Tieflings and dragonkin everywhere. Dragonkin are stupid for one, but the fact that humans/elves/dwarves/gnomes/halflings have been sidelined for all these zany characters - just blech Also warlocks are stupid and don't fit.

Your narrative on why 3.5 was created is completely false. People who worked there at the time have consistently said that it was a profit-driven initiative by Hasbro that none of the WotC people agreed with.
