Hi shell friend! What a cool video this is! Such great information about each whelk, and spectacular supporting video clips. There's a whelk species that's found in SW portion of Gulf of Mexico that is on my bucket list, but that I know very little about - the Perverse Whelk. Have you heard of this one? Hope you are well!

Thank you so much, it means a lot! Perverse whelk - I think I heard that name once or twice before, but haven't dug too deep into it. Does it overlap in range with lightning whelks or is it a localized equivalent found in other areas? Thank you so much for watching and commenting :) (PS I know I need to catch up on your recent videos!)

Great video! I recently moved to Fort Myers and hope to travel along the Atlantic coast to add to my whelk collection. I do think they are all stunning but definitely want to eventually get my hands on a channeled whelk! Ok fine and a knobbed Whelk 😂
