A Scenic Summer Drive In Northwestern New Jersey
Come along for a virtual springtime ( almost summer ) afternoon drive through the Skylands Region of Northwestern New Jersey. View the main streets, country roads, and quaint old towns in this perfect mix of rural countryside and suburban life in the N.J. Highlands region. This 70 minute scenic driving tour through Morris and Sussex counties will start in Mount Arlington following roads through Lake Hopatcong, Jefferson, Sparta, Lafayette, Newton (the county seat of Sussex County), Andover, Byram Township, Stanhope, Netcong, Port Morris, Landing and concluding with a view of the sun and sand of Lake Hopatcong at the beautiful Mt. Arlington Beach. Filmed in 4k on June 6, 2021.

NJ is the most densely populated state in the US, but you'd never know it from this video.

Sussex and Warren County areas are much nicer to travel, visit, explore and live geographically speaking....I grew up in Vernon half my life.

Central and Southern jersey I don't care for except Pt Pleasant and Sea Girt NJ.
Drives like these are why I dislike when people claim to hate NJ.

I’ve only seen Mt. Arlington in the winter. It was beautiful with the snow and the lake frozen over. It’s beautiful in the summer too! I grew up in Middlesex County but I wanted to live in this part of the state. Thanks for posting!

Northwest New Jersey is so pretty and idyllic and friendly; it's truly difficult to believe that only 50 miles east is the decaying dysfunction of New York City.

You want decaying dysfunction? Go a few miles north of Newton to Rt 23 and check out Franklin and Sussex. Absolute garbage heaps with all the drug and crime problems of any city. Small town America generally has all the problems of any big city. There's just less people so you don't notice it as readily. NYC is fine btw. It's a great place to live and work. I actually lived there and in NW NJ so I would know. Don't let your worldview be shaped by fearmongering "news" channels.

That's why u can't judge a book by its cover, central n south jersey is much the same.I have lived in both, n still am in Mt. Laurel. Only thing I dislike is the any ice n snow
At 4:08 there is an American Legion building. It is now gone, destroyed by fire on Aug 26 2022
new j:) after jay medrano passed away, i pray that her wonderful spiit can help me pick up on a complex from i would drive my 2003 van :) all for her and the wedding day i will soon have :) i know shes with me and i feel bad for her . she was so so nice after some conflciting time with other students

The Sopranos was mostly filmed in the towns and cities located in the northeastern part of NJ, but I believe they also did some filming for the show in the southern part of the state and as far west as Morristown.
You shouldn't be playing the piano while driving!
