Great idea, but be careful with high power flashlights too near of the screen, as they can reach a high temperature. In some cases ( it happened to me) if the watch screen gets too hot, they can go completely black, and if you quickly remove it from the heat of the flashlight ( I heard it happens sometimes with the sun in very hot days), it returns to normal, but I don’t know what would happen if you leave it there a long time.

Charging in direct sun (50000ln) takes 24h from 0-100% That torch would take a weeks to charge it up. I think there`s no possibility to charge it to full....maybe to medium. The torch is helpful if you`re run out of juice and want to start the watch.

Thanks for the feedback. Appreciate that. So far, I've been able to charge that particular watch from Medium to High in 5 minutes. Fortunately, I've not had the situation where I needed to charge it when it's completely flat. I'll take your advice as a precaution!

my casio edifice took 4 weeks to charge as here in Scotland we don't get sunshine in the winter months

great idea, curious estimated time to charge from medium to full? One way I've started trying is hanging it on top of a lamp inside the shade not on the bulb , but the peg on the top of the lamp. I haven't had enough time yet to get results but it temporarily goes to high level when charging.

Thanks for the feedback. From Medium to Full, it takes about half an hour at most. However, it doesn't stay at Full for long, and it will go back to Medium again after a short while. I read from Casio sources that it's normal as Medium would cover a wider range of time.

@@ayjay_r good info thank you! Makes me feel a bit better seems like estimated % of battery is maybe 20% at high section and 60% of medium and 20% at low.

It does get warm but not hot. I would normally not use this method for more than 5 minutes at a time for a quick charge of the watch.

It works, but not effective. Better use a UV-Flashlight with "blue" UV light. Its better.
