The only good thing to come out of this is old gen is still getting updates but I hate that I can’t make photos with my cars anymore.

I think you technically could, through your character's phone but I guess you won't be able to take photos through Rockstar Editor once it's gone.

it's kinda sad to see this feature gone. I always wanted to make cinematic edits like what you did. Machinimas were a part of my childhood and it always blew my mind how easy Rockstar initially made it as I learned alot about real life dolly pans, chase sequences and stuff. My only hope is that in GTA 6 there will be a Rockstar Editor 2.0 with even more features. That would be so much fun and who knows, maybe I could make a few music videos within 6 to feature my music on. Anyways, it was a random encounter that I found this vid, hell this channel even. Like was already mentioned: the main problem is optimization. Like you also said: rock🌟 is probably doing it to make more money, which grinds my gears as they've made enough from online to fully fund gta6 at this point. If they try to make gta6 cost based on hours played, I won't get it. Rock🌟 seems to be heading the ea/ubisoft/etc route. What can I say though, gotta love corporate greed wanting extra money while doing nothing to actually earn it (extreme sarcasm btw).

This is why modders and hackers are good. Yes they can be problematic for the players but they're a bigger thorn for the gaming companies because they eat into profits. It's a sort of virtual foodchain, there's always a bigger fish and even the biggest of fish can be taken down by the smallest of things. Companies like Rockstar and TakeTwo deserve it. The hack that leaked GTA6 footage and what not was absolutely devastating to Rockstar (Not just emotionally but it also cost them 5 million dollars) but they have nothing to be mad about, for years they've been preying on their fanbase with overpriced shark cards for mostly lazily made content as well as what can be potentially interpreted by most as unethical/ immoral business practices. Karma.

@@Chiracingfan Probably not but to add on, no they do not have enough to fully fund GTA6. Their publicator, TakeTwo Interactive, is 3 billion in debt as of writing this. I would like to imagine some of that is related to costs for GTA6. GTA5 made something like 7m in 2023 off of GTA5 and considering how well developed GTA6 appears to be, production cost would've probably in the billion range.

The only way for GTA 5 to be as dominant as it was in the gaming world is to slash the prices on everything in half and double pay outs if they did that player interaction will boom just like in it's prime bc OG players would return for one last tour before GTA 6 but rockstar to dumb to see this

nobody seems to realize this effects the car community alot more than just edits: No more Director Mode = No more DMO car drops

I have ten ridiculous captures over the decade that I spent hundreds of hours on to only show my crew. Nobody but us will view them. I appreciate rockstar for adding it.

Them removing the Rockstar Editor is such a shame, over the pandemic GTA photography became one of my hobbies and it has stayed with me to this day. Sad to see I and so many others stuck on the old gen consoles will be losing out on this.

The pifister 811 was the fastest in free mode . Out run rockets. So fast they took it out of races. If you crashed it with no bullet proof tires

I completely agree they should open it all up and be more generous to get everyone back on board for the gta6 run in. Remember on the holidays they used to give away millions in free bonus cash even consecutive days rewards, now you just get a free t shirt and some fireworks.

this is getting ridiculous. I am a pc player, and I dont have access to half the stuff. It cant be THAT hard to add it to pc, plus R* would make more money off of gta+ and vinewood car club... I wanna use hsw and the brz and all the other cool features that new gen consoles have. At first Us pc players werre not 'Upper crust' of citizins and coulnt do the car buy at swap meet.. but when the chop shop came out they added that

7:15... You dont have to spend 5.5 mil on chop shop.. YOU DONT NEED the 'Trade price thing', you dont need to truck (but its profitable)... you dont need upgraded safe. I bought everything and even the overpriced upgraded tow truck and made my money back on the Car sales and the tow truck weeks ago. The double money to missions helped

I’m so glad that I got new Xbox series X when it first came out. So glad I’m sad that it’s an end of an era for old gen but we gotta move on. It’s probably too much for rockstar to keep updating 2 consoles 2 games.

These new missions actually take more time then cayo to set up they are also twice the work compared to the autoshop contracts that pay relatively the same the only reason the salvage yard is good is the ability to buy cars you stole for cheep thats the only way and we cant even do that yet

I feel like gta should have a systems in the shops were they remove cars but it’s on maybe a weekly rotation and different older cars come in and change every week at a lower price

You know if you drive into gas pumps with nightshark you don't die and your car survives

GTA V needs to be brought up to speed for PC, including HSW. I have never understood why the PC version has been held back.

I’d like to think it’s Rockstar’s way of pushing back against the mod menu community. 😂 They try to tighten security, mod menu creators get around it, so rockstar beefs up the console version, and leaves PC in the dust. It’s probably not though…. But one can dream.

Im glad I was a GTA car junkie from my Xbox 360 to previous gen to now my X Series..i literally have every car that got deleted, saved..i have one house in the hills..CEO business upgraded with all garages..nightclub with all garages.. arena with all the garages also..i just started paying the $6 a month for the 100 car garage because im actually running out of room..and now we can name our garages so now everything is organized..when I heard it was my last chance to go buy the cars that will soon be gone i was on that like flies on shit 😂

well the current gta 5 online on current gen and pc is likely numbered in days anyway because once a new online based on gta 6 comes out they'll want to re-sell cards and monetize that so they'll eventually stop content for gta 5 online and new content will drop off effectively killing it off

They dont even need to do that, they just need to optimize their fuc**ng game, PS4 and Xbox One could handle GTA Online perfectly if it wasn't for the horrible optimization (wich is on purpose for people to move to next gen and buy the game again), even more, old gen can handle the exclusive updates like Hao tuning, after all, most of those updates only affect storage since the cars don't render all at once, a new car is the exact same as the other ones, just with other statistics and looks.

@@SlyStarling that slow ass HDD can still run warzone 3 with almost not a problem, ofc it's still slow, but goddamn the PS5 GTAO updates are bullshit, just a few cars, some dumb properties, also they optimized GTA 5 for a console with 512MB of ram (PS3) they can make it once again with PS4 but they don't want

I don’t think removing cars is an issue due to the fact as an example Pokémon go runs its system off of this strategy COD WW2 has the same strategy for certain gun kits thru challenges

Biggest issue with gta online is the players and times idk care that much about the problems it’s a LOT better at its current state compared to the past the toxicity is fucking crazy people need help for real

At this point I'd rather they shut down servers for last gen and call it a day than start taking stuff out because it's just stupid at this point. You know they're gonna pull this same shit with gta6.

Everything rockstar does is about money. I’m so happy that I did the cayo perico heist back to back for a longtime when it first came out. Now I have over $110M and I don’t have to worry about money in this game. I just login to have fun and enjoy the game. Taking pictures and making videos

I'm still inclined to believe the removal of vehicles was related to copyright concerns. I think they just said it was to "improve user experience" in order to avoid admitting guilt.

Last gen didn’t get Hao’s Customs. They’re done with dlcs to last gen

the deleted vehicles can still be found around the map beeing driven by NPCs, so there is no excuse other than greed. Trouble is, if its worth more than 100k (10k for bikes) you can't store it in your garage which made a lot of really good vehicles like the Comet (and its custom variant) unobtainable. They will problably release for a limited time on the car website from time to time but now overpriced af. when it comes down to the main issue is of course the sharkcard sales and lazyness to make any new decent content, swear to God, I really miss the day back in the 360 when everything felt so much better, balanced and rewarding

Being im on old gen xbox one i honestly forgot about the editor thing but yeah the removal of cars fucked me hard as i had a list of cars i wanted, now i cant do that, i wanted so many banger cars now i feel unmotivated to even play gta for money and slowly selling my cars just for money to upgrade something and its not much as majority of my cars were podium wins... i have no friends to play with and i cant afford a new gen xbox

Here’s a wild idea. Make it so, you can install and uninstall single player or multiplayer as if they were DLC. You want gta 5 just for single player? download that, wanna try online now? Download it, don’t want the single player anymore? Uninstall it. Same thing goes for everything else like the editor.

I made my money back from scrapyard just because of the insurance discount alone. 50% off your personal vehicle insurance. Weaponized vehicle insurance is 10k now it's 5k. You made/saved 5k. It will add up in the long run, therefore I would recommend you buy a scrapyard and get insurance discount. *chop shop

I have not purchased the chop shop business and I don't think I ever will. There are simply too many other more efficient ways to make money. It is also too similar to the auto shop business which I got during an event week discount. I consider the auto shop to be one of the best investments I've made in GTA Online. It has already more than paid for itself and continues to be one of the best ways I generate money. The missions all have pay outs above $100K and can be replayed after a cool down period. The Union Depository mission pays well over $200k and the setup missions and the robbery are super easy. I am sad to see the editor go on previous gen. I was going to wait until GTA 6 released before I got a current gen console. Now I'm going to have to upgrade sooner than I planned. R* could have continued to support the editor on previous gen. Whatever problems it caused DLC updates could have been addressed. The real reason they got rid of it is to force previous gen console players to upgrade to current gen which will mean they have to buy GTA 5 again.

I don't get why they don't bring the pc version of the game to the next gen version, i get it for the console its not possible obviously because of hardware, but on pc?? Cmon

Haven't played it in over a year and now I refuse. The only reason i liked that game was for the cars but now I'm out

im honestly not suprised at all. I left the GTA 5 community after the Doomsday heist DLC. Even before I played online, I realized Cockstar games was screwing me over with the over the top rubberbanding in singleplayer gameplay. Nowadays, I just play San Andreas on my xbox 360 (if anyone even has those, let alone remembers them)

I agree. I think GTA6 will be cool and fun. But I don't think they can ever top GTA5 again. They'll have to do something else. I think they know this, and that's another reason they've put it off.

Yes. I'm playing last gen on my current gen console. GTA 5 contains GTA Online, while GTA Online is the new gen version. Download the old, and login, and you should be good.

They removed it so we can all move to next Gen and pay for a subscription, there’s not much they do update on last gen as I still play that version of the game. I have next gen version but none of my friends play online anymore and since I have my wife my XB1S she plays and run heist with me on there since I moved my main account to next gen and had to make a new account on old gen. It’s all BS honestly, as long as I can still use it on Pc or on my steam deck then whatever. I just don’t believe it had anything to do with updates as next gen gets all the updates anyway.
