You can be vulnerable at any age. You can be immature and naïve at any age. My mom and a grandmother are both grandmas and they are very naïve in a lot of ways. And, yes, 38 is considered young even though it's technically middle age. I'm 40 and when you think of a middle age person no one will look at me or Meghan and say that's the middle aged woman. At the doctor's office, the doctor always say I'm young. It's the fashion and beauty industry unfortunately that makes people over the age of 35 seem old. They're not.

Most women outside the USA and some parts of Western Europe are mentally very mature and responsible long before that age and trying to play the “very young and innocent” card by a woman who had been living independently for over a decade and had been married twice previously doesn’t wash. It is not how one looks that determines one’s maturity but one’s actions and how one thinks and behaves. Meghan was anything but naive and innocent. She came into this marriage with an agenda and thought she could fool everyone into buying into it.

Also, yes, 40 IS middle aged and ANY doctor will tell you that when it comes to fertility as anyone over 35 is considered an "older" pregnancy so no, Meghan is not a spring chicken. She looks fantastic and is in great shape but that doesn't take away from the fact that she's middle aged and should have been mature in what she was stepping into.

She was pregnant at the time attended by doctors regularly because of her condition and could not say how she was feeling? She was trapped yet flew on private jets and to LA for a baby shower?

Also, for Prince Harry to admit he had mental problems but couldn't find assistance? How can that be when he got help at the time of his mother's mom - he got the health where he admitted getting psychological help because he was a child at 12 when his mother died. Also, how can Meghan lie about the protocol that others got? Even Diana had trained so it irritates me because she lies through her teeth. Meghan just didn't want to learn anything but felt it was tiaras and more expensive clothes to her delight? I don’t know why his combat is rarely recognized. I’m not a professional but IMO it’s very likely someone who has experienced the level of trauma Harry has suffers emotionally.

Meghan said a cartoon mermaid was talking to her. So to say they had a private ceremony by the Archbishop isnt surprising. Also that the wedding all 34 million dollars was not for them but the public. Such gratitude!!

Of COURSE Human Resources did not help her. Human Resources is for employees. MEDICAL help is available for the Royal family and Meghan knows that. It is silly to think any Royal would go to an EMPLOYEE cubicle/office/whatever for sensitive help like this! And Harry definitely would know better.

Harry admitted that he couldn't get her help because he was ashamed. He was ashamed to talk to his dad and grandmother about his wife's mental health. I find it quite sad that he felt this way knowing how his mom suffered so much and had her own mental health struggles... Looks like a miscommunication amongst the royal family....How is this now the Queen's fault? If your own husband feels ashamed about your mental health, of course you don't feel supported. You feel alone. Looks like to me M and H have more of a cultural difference as a couple, in their upbringing, child-rearing, their ability to communicate, not the Royal Family . I think this interview, except where she admitted to suicide because we must always take that very seriously, is a bunch of 'assumption' making. Now I do not profess to know what constitutes racist comments or 'Colourism' but if a BIPOC tells me there was 'talk of the baby's colour' I believe them. However, when Harry showed up at the interview he did not seem happy at all that his wife divulged that. In fact he looked very closed off and really upset whenever he added something. You can tell he is very hurt. He is struggling. I wonder how much input he had for this interview and if he knew how much would be revealed. All in all, I think this is an unfortunate family matter. The only parent they are now close to is only ONE- her mother Dora. Their children will have no cousins to be close to from both sides. Sad.

Her friend, is not a qualified therapist. Also, even if her mother is a social worker/therapist, medical guidelines do not encourage close relatives to treat their family members, reason being, in such a situation it is difficult to maintain objectivity and there is a blatant conflict of interest.

People forget Megan was a 3rd class actress, playing a victim. Why she married Harry? They could just live together, but in the interview comes out that she wants the titles for her and her children’s, what means money.

Not really. Out of 4 of the Queen's children only 2 chose the Prince/ss titles for their children. Andrew and Charles though I suspect Charles being heir to the throne had no choice but to refer to his boys as Princes. Both Andrew's girls do not get security because they preferred to get ordinary jobs just like their cousins. Even Will and Harry got jobs in the military so security was hardly a problem. It seems to me that Meghan has cherry picked things to suit herself. Even re health issues, the Queen has a household of Royal Physicians covering every medical discipline. Total privacy...unless the Queen wants to disclose info in the public interest. E.g. Her husband has had heart surgery. The majority of the Royals...spouses and children have careers and jobs, Andreas. They are not 'working Royals' like the Queen, Charles and William.

This is a oversimplification of the seriousness of mental health. Ppl experience mental illness, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, suicidal thoughts no matter whether they live in a palace or what is happening in life. In fact many women experience depression symptoms during pregnancy, usually do to hormonal changes. When you feel depressed or have suicidal thoughts during a time of life that you think or though would feel joyous it is a recipe for shame. From my own experiences struggling I can tell you that to have challenges with mental health, challenges that hurt the ppl you love most and to have a conscience is a miserable combination. You feel guilt, shame, hopelessness and then maybe how everyone you love would be better off w/o you.

The Archbishop said she lied about getting married early. UK wedding rules are very tight. Some nerve to lie on national television about what the leader of a church does or doesn't do. The Behavior Panel also deconstructed the interview based on body language and said she's a classic clinical narcissist. I give it 5 years, tops.

Robert thank you for voicing what I feel in my heart. I am 85yrs of age and am thankful I was born in our wonderful monarchs reign. I have spent a lifetime watching the ups and downs of her life but feel this latest betrayal is the worst most hateful that has ever happened. I've shouted at the T.V. There's no making some people happy (despite all their good fortune), when they're hell bent on being miserable.

I remeber clearly H and m saying they wanted to carve out their own part. Somehow this is a vital remark. When working on a team, you simply cannot carve out a role. You need to sit down, negotiate, discuss, take other people's wishes into consideration, find compromisses if necessary. And all this with a visoion of cooperation, consistency and resepct in mind. None of this was shown.

I know it’s not always welcome, but I would like to give an American’s point of view on this whole debacle. First, I’ve never much liked merkle, can’t stand her really. I did notice a lot of the British people, especially the younger ones welcome her with open arms and also with a bit of jubilation. I could see they were looking forward to younger royals and not so much of the old that had been going on for decades. It’s is for this reason I had kept quiet. I didn’t want to bring any negativity into the matter and my opinion had not been asked for either. However, my cousins in England did ask me about this interview with Oprah and if I had watched it. No, I have not and have no plans to do so. In my opinion, merkle knew exactly what she could get out of being a royal before she had even met Harry. Yes, I am saying she had already made plans on how to snag the poor guy. And snag she did. She actually thought they would become even more popular than William and Kate. When she finally realized that would never happen, she had already started on her plan to separate themselves and all of those bloody, boring jobs of what their duties would entail. She hated having to act all lovely and proper in public. She hated having to use her deceptive smile into one of having great fun at whatever boring charity that had been on the list for the day. There was simply no way she would be doing this for the rest of her adult life. So she had set her eyes on Hollywood where they would finally have to take notice of her and her flashy new title. She was going to wave it around like she did with the Queen’s tiara after the wedding. No respect for the royal family and their stuffy, boring duties. She hated having to learn all of their ancient rules that had been passed down for centuries as well. She was going to have none of it and she was going to make sure Harry didn’t either. So Hollywood here they come and what a wonderful splash of color an Oprah interview would be. She knew the woke culture would accept her with open arms and feel ever so sorry for her and her child. Sadly, I don’t believe she had wanted to become a mother during her fun years in life, but she did see all of the accolades that had been bestowed on Kate, so she was going to have that too. And thankfully, there would be a lot of nannies to take over her duty as being a mother. I know I have no evidence whatsoever, however, once a narcissist always a narcissist. This includes their babies as well. I don’t see them married till death do us apart. I can’t. Sadly, it will take more time before Harry will see her true nature. It will break his heart and he will do everything possible to take his children with him. I believe the royal family will take them back and with open arms, but with a tiny bit of trepidation. I see the latter with Kate. He really hurt her and essentially called her a liar. I have always thought they had been close and a great threesome. And I believe it will be his brother taking him back and being ever so happy for it. No more of holding back what he really thought of his gold digger wife. I don’t think he will make amends with his grandmother before she passes and this will haunt him for the rest of his life. It is his grandmother after all. I cannot imagine what she is thinking or feeling, and it hurts my heart just thinking of it. I’d like to say I cannot imagine Hollywood giving her the reception she feels entitled to, but only because she will be in an ocean of narcissists just like her, but who knows, I could be wrong. I will say this though, there isn’t one person in Hollywood who hasn’t thought that these two have burned their bridges to the royal family and ever having to go back to fulfill their duties as royalties, so they might not think they have to kiss their asses like merkle expects them too. Just a guess is all. Wishing all of you Brits across the pond to have some beautiful, spring weather. New beginnings and all. Our temperature in the Interior of Alaska is a -12 to -13C today. Warming up it is. Right now it’s -18C. Not too bad. It could be a lot worse. Thankfully, we had an easy winter this year with a great deal more snow than usual. It can actually get too cold to snow. It’s how we know to expect snow. Our cold temps warming up to at least -23C let’s us know to expect snow. Wishing everyone an amazing and happy day with lots of smiles to come your way. Australia......Meghan threw hot tea over staff at Government House and an apparent silencing payment made, things went down after that visit I’m not surprised not raised. Good on Prince Charles for cutting the purse string after they went to Canada and California they wanted to be independent for goodness sake. Some don’t think Meghan had millions, she didn’t own anything. but Charles provided so much to them yet they didn’t acknowledge that. Two selfish individuals Archie and future offspring. Harry would be well aware of rites to Titles and should have corrected her. Wedding nope it’s illegal in a garden within the UK C of E , plus no witnesses, there was no marriage three days before, plus you can’t be married twice. Yes, there is a stage a narcissist goes through with someone after isolation, smearing, using guilt and pity plays. It is called devaluing. That is when a relationship starts to end.

People are not listening to Meghan's words correctly. She stated that she told HR "I need to go somewhere..." I believe she was offered help but was refused the request to go somewhere. I would make a guess that she requested to be booked into a specific place which she fails to mention in the interview. People are just assuming it was to go see a doctor. How can anyone seriously believe that a simple request to see a doctor would be refused? I imagine she actually requested to be booked into some sort of luxury health resort to recuperate. She is obviously being very misleading with what actually happened. To her, not getting her exact demands met equates to them not helping her, whether they offered alternative help or not. It is inconceivable that she was not offered any help at all. Just because she speaks "her truth" does not make it the truth.

To say you love and respect your grandmother and the Queen and yet drop all these bombs on her while her husband is in the hospital is appalling. It shows no respect or regard whatsoever.

Good to see that Robert Jobson was as angry as I was when I heard what they had to say.

H&M may not have been paid for the interview but probably paid thousands of dollars for copyright use of photos. That is common knowledge and usage when someone speaks to a media outlet.

But did she not say that as family's first person of color Archie needed security ? Why would that be? It's crap.

Prince and princess titles go to two generations beyond the crown and also to the first male in the direct line of succession like Prince George (unless the titles Prince and Princess are gifted by the Queen to those in the INDIRECT line of succession). In 2013 (before Meghan was even on the radar) the Queen went in and made a change so that all the offspring of the direct line of successor would have the Princess/Prince title at birth even if they were beyond the two generations of the crown so all the children in that immediate family would be titled instead of calling one Prince and the others otherwise. So that would be Williams children. When Charles becomes king, Archie would’ve automatically become Prince Archie, because he would then be within two generations of the crown. The proof that this is the case can be discovered by looking no further than the royal family. Queen Elizabeth has 4 children. Two generations from her or from the crown (her children and her grandchildren) are tititled Prince and Princess unless the title was declined. Three generations beyond the crown-the queen’s great grandchildren (with the exception of William’s children who are in the direct line of succession) they are NOT titled with Prince and Princess. The queen’s children are Charles, Anne, Andrew, and Edward. #1 Charles and his 2 sons are titled Prince, because they are within two generations of the crown. William’s son George is titled Prince as the first mail in William’s line therefore a direct successor to the crown. Until a change of protocol/law in 2013 (long before Meghan was on England’s radar), Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis (George’s younger siblings) would not have inherited those titles until Charles took the throne. #2 Anne. Anne declined the inherited titles of Prince and Princess for her son and daughter Zara and Peter although they were in 2 generations of the throne. Neither Peter or Zara’s children are titled (same generation as Archie). Just a note. Anne only gets security when she is working in her capacity as a royal, but not at home or elsewhere. She is the queen’s daughter. #3 Andrew and his 2 daughters (Beatrice and Eugenia) carry the title of Prince and Princess because they are within 2 generations of the throne. His grandson, (Eugenie’s son August) DO NOT carry the titles of/Prince/Princess, because LIKE ARCHIE, August LIKE ARCHIE is the third generation from the throne and not in the direct line of succession. Just a note: Princess Beatrice and Prince Eugenie also do not have funded security, as they are not full-time working royals and are employed elsewhere. Prince Andrew had his right to taxpayer-funded security removed following the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. The security he has is paid for privately. #4 Edward carries the titles Prince and Earl but will inherit Prince Phillips title of Duke upon the death of the Queen and her husband. This was the queen’s pleasure. The Queen “...wished that he be elevated from the rank of Earl to Duke of Edinburgh after that dukedom, held by Prince Philip since 1947, reverts to the Crown[2] (after the death of the current Duke and the Queen[30]), and for his children to be styled as the children of an Earl, rather than as prince/ss and royal highness.[31]” His children Louise and James therefore (SAME GENERATION AS HARRY AND WILLIAM) are not price and Princess but Lady and Viscount. Just a note: Prince Edward and Sophie (his wife) Countess of Wessex are given protection when they are taking part in official engagements - but do not have taxpayer-funded security at their homes. This is the queen’s son. A sideline, Princess Margeret (late sister to the Queen) has two children who do not carry the title of Prince-Princess. Keep in mind their mum’s SISTER is the Queen. When Archie was born, his parents declined any of the queens gifted titles stating their wishes that he be a “private citizen.” IMO, they did this to make themselves look humble. They mimic past behaviours that have gotten the attention of the public. Princess Anne (Queen’s daughter) decided not to have her children titled, because she wanted them to have a more ordinary life. Other mimics?? Lookie lookie Harry, I am just like your mum severely depressed while pregnant (only stated publicly after the last season of the Netflix series The Crown came out showing Diana’s state during her pregnancy). As far as the security issue goes, it has to first do with succession and then to do with whether or not you are a “working royal”. It also has to do with the fact that when you move to another country, can you really expect the U.K. citizens to foot the bill for lodging and salaries for a security entourage with lodging for that entourage’s family as well? That’s if you even have British metropolitan police who want to give up their lives in the U.K. Remember Harry and Meghan didn’t go on holiday, they RELOCATED to another country‼️Deceitful, manipulative, selfish, and out of touch.

Depression comes in stages. we don't know at what stage, Meghan felt suicidal, but my question, why didn't she tell her doctor, or mother or friends. So much of this is fake,but a lot is true. Unfortunately, Meghan is playing a role, SHE can't differenate between reality and fantasy. I pray for her and HARRY, that they both get professional help, before they completely self-destruct . This is just so sad! They could have made a great difference in both countries. I, as an American, pray for both families.

A friend of mine's niece committed suicide when she was 8 months pregnant. Her partner had died of an overdose and she couldn't live without him. She killed herself and her unborn baby a month later.

It is an outrage that two adults in their late 30's opted to put this unborn baby's life in jeopardy. If we are to believe this suicide sympathy ploy then why wouldn't the mother do everything possible to protect her child? Mother's have a natural driven instinct... but she failed to climb over her ivy wall to get whatever help she needed? Surely she had access to her O.B. Doctor?!! But what irks me more about this claim (if it was indeed true) then why in the hell wouldn't the mentally healthy husband 'Harry' not take drastic & immediate action to protect her and their baby from self harm? That is wilful neglect... and in my opinion he knowingly put both Mother & Child at risk!!! Therefore, I am not buying the London Bridge they're trying to sell the public! Both are Shameless Scam Artists!!!

If this is true she is having these kind of thoughts, she could have called one of her best friends (Jessica) - I'm sure she wouldn't be ashamed to tell Jessica about this as they are really close. I'm sure if Jessica believed her she would have advised Meghan to seek help.

Watching this with hindsight. She pulled a masterclass at the end of the conversation (it wasn't an interview), by making a point of leaving the Royal Family fairly and squarely at Harry's feel very clever when she plays other final scene "The Divorce"!!!!!

I also heard the comment somewhere that Meghan even referring to Catherine as Kate was disrespectful. Everyone in the family knows that Catherine prefers to go by her real name, that this is how William refers to her and is undoubtedly how Harry always referred to her. (I wonder how her refers to her now?) It is quite disheartening to see how Harry cannot stand up to Meghan about even the smallest things.

She’s totally underestimated the public and the British press as well as the royal family...we don’t cower down and we’re not blind fools!

Megan just came into something that she could not handle. She wants everything, what did she think it would be like. Did she think that she could change the palace, come on. Maybe she should have done her research on what her role would be. This is a royal family and she is not Royal material. I did not think about what color of her child would be until she said something. The question I have is, Why now????????. There is a pandemic going on, you both decided to leave. You want Privacy but maybe you had tooo much and this is how you get back into the limelight again. Shame on you for doing this to the Queen and her husband just had open heart surgery. You took Harry away from his family and friends. If he loved you he would have taken you to his therapist himself. I am positive that you got paid millions for doing the show, you are in partnership with Oprah. I lost respect for you three for getting your dirty laundry out to the whole world to see. Oprah will do anything to get the race card out there, this was a great success for her. Megan, have you gone for therapy now, you can find plenty in America.

There were more questions than answers in the interview. For me Meghan lost credibility during her engagement interview when she commented that she didn’t know much about Harry. I was confused how someone who is in circles of celebrity and has a mutual friend with Harry wouldn’t know who Harry is?!? From that moment on, all she says becomes questionable. From watching British reports, I am understanding more and realizing that we were handed a bag of lies, making Meghan and Harry even more questionable. Yes, here in the US the majority are in team Meghan simply because the interview was orchestrated to create a perception based on the fact that Americans are ignorant of British laws, process etc. This was exacerbated with the weaving in of key/hot topics that are in the forefront of society and bring up a lot of emotions. By sharing in such a public and accusatory manner when they were so ashamed of saying it to get help makes me wonder if it was used to gain support and sympathy. I hope Meghan has received the mental help she really needs. No mention was made of the help she has received. Oprah didn’t ask, “How are you doing now?” Nothing productive came out of the interview on how to help people who are experiencing suicidal thoughts and/or racism. Meghan and Harry could of given their part of the “unreceived earnings” to charities that support those causes.” Why wasn’t a hotline posted at the end of the interview letting people know where to call if they have suicidal thoughts? Lots of bombs and blaming dropped but no solutions or taking responsibility.

I don't think there is anything remotely appalling asking after the skin tone of a baby whose parents are clearly so different. Families all over the world speculate what the baby would look like especially when the two parents carry such contrasting genes. My parents have done that with me and now I speculate what my baby would be like as my husband is very germanic and I have soft Slavic features with darker hair and dark eyes.

SOME families may wonder about the skin tone of biracial children, but not all by far. in my family i have a mixed niece and three cousins that are black and white mixed. not once did any member of the family muse about how light or dark the children would be, it was never a factor. that may have been your experience but you don't know for fact that EVERYONE does this. for some of us it is a non issue.

The first curtsey is an odd thing for Megs to bring up being as she didn't curtsey to her at her wedding. Hmm.

Best show ever about this whole affair. Oprah is a great interviewer, but she knows nothing about the Royal British Family and wasn't able to ask questions to things that were said that made no sense. I feel for Harry, he will regret this...because he knows that much of what was said was rubbish!

Miraculously, she doesn't have any residual suicidal ideations and seems just fine. She hasn't admitted to seeing a therapist or still needing one. What a quick medical recovery. Being pregnant again could easily create those moody feelings, and I seriously believe hormones are at play, not tantrum-induced snit fit. What a liar. Also, he forced her into the family by marrying her. Was he making a revengeful gesture?

this was amazing. I love it. thank you so much. I also truly wonder what was the point AT ALL of them "telling their truth" there was no point, except hurting others. Sad. Nothing was gained at all. Just more heartache and wasting peoples time. They have really shown the world who they truly are, and NOW we know...very disrespectful, spoiled and dishonourable people.

Archie had no chance of having dark skin because he only1/8 black and Meghan looks beautiful so what the heck are they complaining about colour for?? The truth is POOR CHARACTER!!!
