A Romance Film Shouldn't Feel This Real

Ойын-сауық

Before Sunrise is a film that's filled with both a ton of dialogue, and a ton of tension, yet, it doesn't follow the same formula as your typical romantic drama. Let's dive into what makes it so unique, and why it's become such a fan favorite.

It feels real, that’s why I enjoy it. Not perfect or idealized, just a beautiful connection without emotional walls situated around them

When I think of movies that got carried by the dialogue, Before Sunrise always comes to mind.

This movie is similar to The Breakfast Club in so much that it’s basically just people sitting around talking yet, it is SO GOOD.

what a timely video. I just broke up with my girlfriend of 8 months 2 weeks ago. we had a “meet cute”. randomly struck up conversation at the gym, then saw her outside my apartment a few weeks later, found out she just lived the building down from me. from there it was a lot of other different little coincidences which gave me hope that I would never have to date again. ultimately, I realized that we weren’t compatible and had to end it. I’m not sure why I’m sharing other than to let others know, this stuff does happen. but you have to be willing to leap and fail a few times. thanks for the video and keep up the great work edit: this has happened another time to me before at the airport of all places, I know very cliche. this girl who I made long eye contact with as I walked past her came to my tram and started talking to me. found out we were on the same flight, and only other open seat was open and it was next to her. so we had my seat moved, kissed on the flight, went to her hotel room when we landed etc etc. well it turned out she was engaged. she wanted to break off the engagement and have me move to her state with her. of course I couldn’t do something so rash. life is strange

@@Renzy_YTyeah that was the worst part of it. she ended up confessing to him, or at least that’s what she told me. last I saw they were pregnant and going through with the marriage, but I can’t remember her last name now that it was a few years ago now. I’ve wondered how they are doing. I felt really betrayed when she told me she had a fiance

More power to them for being able to find a resolution, but man, that’s wild. Glad you've made peace with that.

I was at the airport bus stop, and this guy asked me the bus schedule. Then we fund out that we were in the same flyght before. He seemed nice, but then he started to ask to much personal things, it was very uncorftable and creepy. It was really scary... Not lucky 😅

Before movies, relationships were practical affairs arranged by others. Now they are Disney movies filmed after Alice fell down the rabbit hole. It is no wonder why people are so disillusioned by the idea of a relationship.

I cut out the portion where I mention it did. The writer, Richard Linklater, was in a toy shop in Philly when he met a woman and they spent the evening together, talking deep into the night. The entire film is him trying to recreate the feeling of that night.
