Actually this can really affect the behavior of the birds and their recreation chance in a bad way. Because they are singing for territorial & recreational reasons and the males usually fight for territory and recreation in that territory to the death. Seriously :D

Perhaps the Avian 'language' could be one of the complex parts of the 'society' of birds. Having such many 'dialects' in various genera, it must've been around for a long time and even older than the languages of humanity, lasting for around 145 million years. The 'dialects' change drastically over thousands or millions of years and there has been many extinct 'dialects' of this 'language', but the 'language' still survives to this day and it seemed like their voices are the echoes of a bygone age. Now imagine if birds literally established a society and a nation of their own, what would you think about it as and what do you think it would look like?

Well said my friend, I've been feeding 2 Robins at work for the past two weeks, I can't wait too get back too work the next morning so I can interact and feed them (hate going too work to pay too be alive) , problem is we have come so far away from nature and what's real that the average half baked moron has no idea or no care about our beautiful planet, its all about, likes, followers image and staring at screens all day on social media, that's the reason the planet is in the Dire situation it is in, with the central banks, corporations and big pharma preferring humanity too be docile and obedient for maximum profit, the "real world" is very quickly dissapearing for the majority 👍🏻

Nightingales , sadly, often turn out to be robins singing at night. Robins sing all winter at night-one new year's eve we heard what we assumed were 'nightingales' -and then when we looked on RSBP site, found they were robins, each proclaiming own territory-at between 2-3 am! people were listening in amazement, the songs were so good. All thought they were nightingales.

Where in the world did you get the idea that when you die, you could become a bird? Hinduism is a lie. People are dying because of that "religion." There is a heaven, and there is a hell, and you'd be wise to read a bible (start with the New Testament). Even if you don't believe by the time you finish it, you'll be a lot more intelligent. Afterall, the most intelligent man on earth at that time wrote two of the books of the bible. He gives great advice. ~~Tuesday, January 23, 2018~~

Actually this can really affect the behavior of the birds and their recreation chance in a bad way. Because they are singing for territorial & recreational reasons and the males usually fight for territory and recreation in that territory to the death. Seriously :D

They always so here in the UK that if a robin arrives, it's your deceased loved one. Such a pleasure to see and hear them and to think it might actually be a loved one.
I know this was posted 9 years ago, but I’ve got a young robin that sits in my garden and sings every day, decided to ‘sing’ back and she responded - the breaks between fit perfectly and my mind is just a little blown.
God has made all things so beautiful...I love Robin's, and all our native birds...🙂♥️♥️🙂

Not just one Robin - he is responding to another in the background. No doubt they are telling each other to back off, this territory is spoken for! Beautiful to our ears though.
Absolutely stunning, thank you so much for sharing x

Where in the world did you get the idea that when you die, you could become a bird? Hinduism is a lie. People are dying because of that "religion." There is a heaven, and there is a hell, and you'd be wise to read a bible (start with the New Testament). Even if you don't believe by the time you finish it, you'll be a lot more intelligent. Afterall, the most intelligent man on earth at that time wrote two of the books of the bible. He gives great advice. ~~Tuesday, January 23, 2018~~

The is purely a territorial call. I played this sat in the garden and a robin quickly flew onto a fence and intervened with it's own song!
So different from the American robin (which is really a thrush) I'm used to the song of my native robin-redbreast but this song is so delightful and much more variable.
I played this last year in the garden and a couple of Robins showed up. I knew they were in the vicinity though. This year, two inquisitive pigeons, a rook and some ravens. Hey ho!
