In an age of ever changing technology, one particular important aspect of our lives has seemingly been left behind: banking. However, it seems we are now on the brink of evolving our banking system.
Tom is CEO of Monzo - a new smartphone-based bank. In 2013, he was nominated one of the top 5 Entrepreneurs under 30 by the European Commission. In 2016, he became the youngest ever CEO of a UK bank. He previously founded GoCardless, a fintech startup that has gone on to raise $25m. He blogs at tomblomfield.com and tweets as @t_blom.

I work in the banking industry and if any bank doesn't have up to the minute transaction history your customers will flee. 2-3 days out of date is non-existent in the States
I have seen a lot of talk recently on twitter and other places about the new ICO runecoin (lending platform) any review on that? planning to invest some decent amount.

all very well but what about security. The traditional banks have spent a fortune on this matter so what security levels can be achieved with starter banks?
Balance out of date? I’m in Africa and my balance is live? What ancient technology is the UK using?
Within a decade, the banking scene would be hugely different from what we are witnessing right now....retail banks may become completely obsolete.
Monzo is good. The new kid on the block in USA is SOFI. No here in the UK yet but worth checking out.

Oh that was a non event. Give the corporate criminals more unfettered access to your life is what I got from that. Was hoping to see more about QFS.
