I have one of these still rockin' - they are pretty unusable on Windows 7 with the stock drive. An SSD is a HUGE improvement. The chipset and CPU are both very slow even by 2007 standards so you will always have that sense of extra latency inherent in these. The best part of this machine is the magnesium chassis and the keyboard as far as the user experience is concerned. I respect the generous number of ports provided on these as well even without the optional dock.

These computers will run for a long time, though I wouldn't recommend for modern use. I put XP on the one I have, but it's just for show.

have this one as XP machinge for laser cutter or some other funky stuff SSD would be hood for this, and maybe FydeOS or light weight linux now im using xubuntu and it works slow but it does work
