Oh there are plenty of other Folk doing their bit for The North Downs. I just do my bit.

I remember when I was walking the North Downs Way a long time ago now I got hopelessly lost in Gatton Park after setting off super early from Tanner's Hatch and had to abandon that leg of walk at Merstham. Also there are loads of pill boxes along North Downs Way to the west of Dorking - presumably part of the same defences.

Yes, there are many Pill Boxes around this area.

Haven't been to the Sports Man for years I'll have to pop in for a pint I'm often during the warmer months up at Reigate Hill, Collie Hill with me radios nice place.

Only realised after I went to Reigate last summer about the fort. Its on my plans to go.

I’ve always had the same thoughts on the Icknield Way! You try to imagine what it was like for travellers all that time ago. It splits into two paths further west- one Higher, one Lower & that has puzzled me! I enjoyed the walk & seeing the fort! Thanks Marq!

Your video inspired me to take the family to Reigate Hill today. We last went there in 2021 in the middle of lockdown when we couldn’t do a lot at all! It was great going back. I must try the Sportsman some time, never been there- have you been to the nearby Well House in Mugswell?

Nice video marq. Brought back memories of the sportsman pub. Did you ever go to the mint pub which was on the left as you to the sports man ? Closed now and houses. Cheers marq. We still gotta go to beddington church for me to show you the hidden toilet. Ooooh matron 😂

The only Mint Pub I know is at Banstead (where I was recently). Might be a bit before my time.
