More sleepy history stories please!!!! I love the idea of sort of learning something but on a topic that just puts you to sleep to the sound of your voice. History of lamps or pillows or even actual history stories. Love it all, need more. Sleepy history of beds is so awesome

All I remember is paying attention to how my bed feels and something about a king…. Zzzzzzz…. Perfect
Please, please, please more long ‘Sleepy History of…’ episodes. The longer the episodes the better. I love the Robert The Bruce, Caesar, Rosetta Stone, Beds, even the deck chair episode. I listen to my favorite sleepy history episodes repeatedly. I enjoy learning as I’m nodding off. My mind stays gently focused & interested, which allows my intrusive, busy thoughts to melt away. AND thank you sooooo much!!!!

I so agree with every word!!! I had to look twice to make sure I hadn't written this because it sounded so right on for my experience!! 😂
Thanks. Can't remember the last time I slept so well. I am a subscriber.
This video is magic! So I seriously struggle getting to sleep, I'm always exhausted when I go to bed, but for some reason I just fight it, I don't know if it's anxiety or what but I have to say that this video is the only thing that's been helping me to get to sleep I've never been able to get to the actual history part, I've always conked out during the calming down section at the start 😅 I don't know what spells you cast, but it works! 😂
Seconding everyone here on the Sleepy History of series, these are brilliant, gently engaging enough to keep from ruminating before bed. I like to turn them to 0.75x speed too and just drift off while following along. Please continue this series!!
LOVE this Bed History, how utterly perfect! How about another sleepy domestic history? Like the history of sofas and lounges, or bathtubs & bathing, or history of bedtime rituals, or the history of nightwear? 🙏🏼

I woke up this morning while this was playing and stayed in bed to hear it ❤
I really appreciate the sensory awareness. It's very helpful in bringing me to the present, after the breathing and before the story starts. Thank you, Thomas ❤
Absolutely love the history sleep story format!!!!!! It took four nights to get to the end of the story. Please do more ❤
I especially love your history and science Episodes and the Meditation Part at the beginning. I really want to say thank you. I have insomnia and it´s really really hard to fall asleep for me. That´s a huge problem. Your podcast and another meditation yoga nidra sleep podcast from germany, are the first things that helps me. Now I mostly fall asleep before the story ends :D Now it´s easier to looking forward to bedtime again. It makes my life a bit easier. Thank you so much. All the best to you :)

Why is sleeping in trees as humans so hard to believe?? It was safer!! That didn't make us monkeys... Don't be daft!! Be an intelligent credit to the Lord!!!

In bed with my husband and cat is my favorite place to be, even though my husband snores and my cat hogs the bed so I don’t have any leg room 🥰
Doesn't play beyond 46:00 your device hasn't stopped working. (◍•ᴗ•◍)✧*。

Thomas can get it
😊
Shakespeare left his wife in the will his second best bed 😂
The hypnic jerk is caused by waking as we start to fall asleep because everyone leaves the body at night as a soul & does amazing stuff as we slumber… my first time waking up after I left my body behind me is still fresh in my mind as I was floating near the ceiling & apparently headed out the south window when I looked back over my shoulder to see a sleeping form in bed. Then I realized it was me & felt panic so I dove for it, hitting it with a hard bounce, then sat up with some choice words 😂 it was transformative for sure. We are much more than a physical being!
im a premium subscriber to the pod. I wonder how many people are like me and can only listen to Tom/Thomas (he says his name differently every other episode)? its got to be sooo subjective regarding voices. I, for instance, can only listen to Tom. TJ Kellerman has got way to much timbre and volume to sleep to. As an American, he sounds a little to mannered and descriptive....not lazy/easy. As others have mentioned....the best podcats are about dry subjects like history, science (space!), mythology, chairs, woodworking.
Are there are any ads while listening to this?
