When a woman or a man cheats on you, threatens you with "you will never see your kids", you take the kids move to a hotel/motel/family member and find a good lawyer. Never back down, never apologies.

@@RDR2Jammy1337 Hi! Lawyer here! Actually the concept of "the mother stays with the children" is very, very old, existing before feminism became a thing. This comes from the idea that the mother is the one suppoused to take care of children, that women are biologically built to be more nurturing and caring. Of course, recent developments in both science and law have changed a lot of that. In my country, for example, with the 2002 civil code, the idea is that, in the case of a non litigious divorce, it is recommended for both man and woman to share custody, with the child staying wherever is better for them (For example, if the Dad lives somewhere with better schools, then they stay with the Dad.) That is the legal part. Now let's address your misunderstandings about feminism. Remember the part I said that the preference for women staying with the kids came from this idea that the mother's job was to raise the kid, while the father's was to provide financially? Well, feminists hate that idea. They want women in the workforce, not bound rasing children, so the feminist agenda actually goes in the direction of incentivising fathers to employ more time taking care of their children, including in cases of custody. So, in short, you are mistaken because: Feminism has done nothing to prevent men from attaining custody of their children and has, in fact, made it easier. The trend of men not being able to attain custody of their children is very old and is actually diminishing. Also, about Felipe Yarr's advice: Unless the other parent is provent to be dangerou DON'T DO THAT. You cannot deny the other parent custody of their children without a judge's order, unless you are doing so to protect the children. Contact your lawyer FIRST OF ALL, then take action. If they threaten to make you "never see your children again" there are thing a lawyer can do. But if you are accused of kidnapping your own children, its not gonna look good for you.

Crying The fact that 2 children only 7 and 3 had to look into their own mothers eyes, the mother that is supposed to take care of them no matter what, taking away their lives is one of the most cruel things anyone but especially a mother with children who have no chance to fight back. Children should be getting to play with Pokémon on the hot cement and getting hurt from tripping. Jason deserved better, those kids deserved better. The fact a human being can commit such a cruel and heartless act is insane. All children deserve parents but people like Brandi never deserve children. I hope Jason, will keep going though I will never understand the amount pain he must be enduring, the only thing I know is no-one deserves any of this.

The problem was and always have been with the wife, no normal person, even a cheater and toxic spouse, would commit a murder suicide at the announcement of divorce. If he had stayed with her until the kids moved out id wager her reaction would have been even more drastic due to years of emotion boiling over, and nothing implied she wouldnt have snapped later while the kids were teenagers either. No matter how you tackle the issue, horrible people will always do horrible things. Jason did what any sane person would do in that situation and the online advice was with good intention, wishing the best for what they could only precieve as a failed marriage. No one could have predicted her reaction and the blame isnt to be flung on anyone but her.

She was constantly manipulative and knew I was trapped for a long time. Even though we were "poly" for a while (she still is, I'm not--I did it to try and save the marriage), she still found a way to cheat on me through not respecting our mutually-agreed upon boundaries and didn't know the father of our son. But, she wanted me to be the father regardless. Later on, I finally could get out. I will say this about her... She'd NEVER do this to our son. But, dear God I wondered when I was thinking of leaving before.

This was a really hard listen. It’s hard to express through text, but the amount of respect I have for Jason’s poise and will to move on is indescribable. Currently, we’re going through a very close divorce in my family, and it has taken us all by surprise. My parents also divorced, and I had the displeasure of seeing my dad become a raging lunatic because he didn’t get away with what he wanted to get from mom. After over a decade, we’re finally healing our wounds, and thankfully it never came close to something as nightmarish as this, but verbal/psychological abuse can still fuck you up for years. We talked about these experiences with our relative, and hopefully that gave him greater insight into how to handle his divorce properly. What terrifies me when listening to this story is how the murders just happened. I guess when in doubt, just look at the person’s family. The fact that Jason’s inlaws where out there stalking him from their car while he was trying to mourn his children, and locking him out the house with his property inside is just dirty and malicious. Clearly Brandi came from a very dodgy household, and who knows what mental health issues her demented brain was teeming with. We have a saying back home that if you want to know someone, look at their family and parents first, as they are a reflection of who they could become.

The fact that she chose to stab her own children, over any other method, has to be the most cruel and horrifying part of this tragedy. It shows exactly what kind of an evil person this is.

That last quote from Jason... "I had the fortune that the last thing my kids ever heard me say to them was, 'I love you, good night. I'll see you in the morning.'" God that made my heart wrench. I legit started tearing up at it... May Jason have only good things in his future.

Every time I come back to this video I swear it always gets to me, especially the ending. How can someone just mercilessly take the lives of two innocent children? Those poor kids and Jason, none of them deserved any of this.
