Vicky, your observations are so right on! Along the River is actually harder than the 1000-pc puzzle by the same artist, titled Awakening. I am glad you like the Velvet-Touch. It is a cornerstone of our brand because of the lack of glare, the great feel, and how it renders the art so beautifully. Thanks so much once again!

Thanks for this video. I love seeing all the different puzzles people are drawn to (often quite different than what I am… usually much trickier than my preference lol). I appreciate you are choosing to just enjoy the 9000 piece one versus worrying about time/ piece count. I love watching speed puzzlers like Maxine the puzzle queen as she enjoys the speed, but it’s really I like watching people who you can see are passionate and are enjoying how they puzzle like you. Newish subscriber and big Art & Fable fan here! Between the artist recognition, charitable donations, look and feel, art they’ve curated, handwritten greeting on the receipt from the people who packed and mailed the puzzle, what’s not to love? I truly enjoyed the 1000 piece Boston Public Garden puzzle - the collage has so many surprising little details I think I will have to assemble it several times before I really see all of them. I’d also like to thank you for the giant puzzle how-to video. I’d like to tackle one some time; my puzzling area only accommodates up to 2000 pieces. 3k feels like it would be a good test run before attempting 9000 (also thinking mega-puzzles should be projects that culminate in summer since the driveway is the only place I can put the entire thing together!).

Hi! Thank you for subscribing and commenting 😃. I also love Art and Fable, and you are right, they have so much to like about them! - I plan to do a lot more, but I’ll buy them gradually since they’re a bit on the expensive side 😍. I really like Mandy Budan and would love to do another of hers, but I also love the new one they have brought out with the jaguar on it - I forget the name of it now, but it’s beautiful. You are welcome for the giant puzzle video. That was an unplanned one, but I got so many comments after the Disney Orchestra puzzle about people not having space to do them, that I felt like I had to do it. I myself had those thoughts, but I got around them and just felt like others could too. None should be deprived of the joy of a giant puzzle in my opinion! 😃 Good luck on your 3k and eventual 9k! Which ones have you got your eye on to do?

@@Vickymakesandbuilds Which ones? I’m still thinking! The Ravensburger 5000 piece Space Odyssey is a definite yes. I like animal/underwater and fantasy scenes in general; I go back and forth on whether or not I would do a Disney themed puzzle. Some of my indecision is related to needing a broader feel for other brands - so far I’ve mostly done Ravensburger, Art & Fable, Brgaamiens, and Cloud Berries. I’ve only come across one brand I wouldn’t recommend - and given the price point of larger puzzles I want to be careful before springing for a brand I don’t yet recognize. Anatolian is one that keeps popping up on Amazon. Are you familiar with them?

@@Vickymakesandbuilds I am so glad that puzzlers feel the way we do at Art & Fable! I am trying VERY hard to get our manufacturer to add the equipment needed for this type of bag. It only makes sense! Rip off the top and you should still have a zip lock bag below. Why not??? We are working on it- we really are! I have also tried to have them use a biodegradable bag for the one time use bag, so at least we have less harmful waste. So far, no luck on that either. When you take the puzzle apart, is it hard to do that? Are the knobs fragile, and tear easily? Does the layered cardboard come apart on each piece when taking pieces out? Thank you for this video! You are supporting through this video a women-owned company, and senior centers for some artists! A very different puzzle! Can you lift the completed puzzle?

I haven’t actually taken it apart yet, but the pieces are very sturdy so I imagine the knobs wouldn’t bend easily. I did take a few pieces out and the layers were fine too. I actually did do a puzzle pick up and it stayed together as well. Art and Fable seem to be a very supportive company and I was pleased to see that they supported their artists and charities. Hiya! Thank you! I’m so glad you are enjoying the channel. That’s great that you are visiting London soon! It’s been a long time since I visited London, but there is definitely so much to see and no shortage of charity shops! The charity shops are named after the charities they support. The ones I have near where I live are Cancer Research, British Heart Foundation, Shelter, PDSA, Marie Curie, Strathcarron Hospice (that’s a Scottish one), one in support of Parkinson’s, Debra, Salvation Army. You will likely find ones for Age UK in London too. Charity shops can be great for getting some brilliant puzzles at a bargain price, especially if you are lucky enough to find a sealed one. Only thing you have to watch out for is how they are displayed/looked after - not all shops check piece counts or even tape down their lids, so you do run the risk of having missing pieces. I hope you enjoy your visit and find lots of good puzzles 😍
