A piece of advice: I was stopped for speeding by a Francophone Mountie in B.C. mountains. I was issued a written warning with no fine. If this individual had not been recording, he may have avoided a fine. The Mountie had no choice in issuing the fine because he was under camera scrutiny.

I've never been shot at by a cop, or know anyone that has been. They even go to the shooting range I'm a member at, never had a problem there either. And would say about 95% of those that have been shot by police (some have overreacted) would've had a better chance if.... 1. put down the gun or knife 2. don't run at them 3. don't run away 4. Don't act like a jackass 5. Show respect and be polite. (this one works well). For the most part, your description is bullshit.

For your personal protection and safety, and to preserve integrity and actions of and by the RCMP, always record all encounters. (Que the Vancouver Airport (YVR) and 4 RCMP murderers lying of polish tourist's "noncompliant and violent behaviours" unknowingly captured in its entirety by an independent tourist's cell phone recorder) The most underhanded human trash and corrupt RCMP interpret the laws of Canada to "benefit" their employ, and their alleged "bravery" at the costs and reputations of law abiding Canadian Taxpayers. "Whopping $1.1B sought in lawsuit over culture of workplace bullying in the RCMP" nationalpost.com/news/canada/whopping-1-1b-for-damages-sought-in-lawsuit-over-culture-of-workplace-bullying-in-the-rcmp PSYCHOPATHS: TOP 10 - AND BOTTOM 10 - PROFESSIONS www.cbc.ca/doczone/features/psychopaths-top-10-and-bottom-10-professions "RCMP rejects 90% of formal complaints" OTTAWA - The RCMP received almost 13,000 formal public complaints since 2010, but the force rejected 90% of them, QMI Agency has learned. Nine of out 13 provinces and territories have an RCMP complaint acceptance rate of below 10%, with Ontario and Quebec having the two lowest rates - 3% and 5% respectively - according to newly released RCMP documents obtained by QMI Agency. Michael Kempa, a professor of criminology at the University of Ottawa, said the low complaint acceptance rate undermines citizens’ faith in their federal police force. Between January 2010 and Oct. 10, 2014, the RCMP received just over 24,800 complaints from across the country. The categories with the highest number of complaints were "neglect of duty" (4,341); "improper attitude" (2,204); and "improper use of force" (1,656). Out of 24,818 complaints, only 12,407 were formal, written accusations against officers. The RCMP itself reviews complaints against its officers. If citizens are not happy with the force’ decision, they can appeal to the Commission for Public Complaints Against the RCMP, which is an independent body that reports to Parliament. The RCMP decided that only 1,221 of the allegations against officers since 2010 were "supported." The force decided that 10 times that number were "unsupported,” meaning the RCMP ruled the accusations were not credible. Kempa says that the high rejection rate for complaints undermines citizens’ confidence in the force." torontosun.com/2014/10/27/rcmp-rejects-90-of-formal-complaints/wcm/a32dc28e-ae87-4d65-ab7e-76df81eb8d30

Interesting to consider that recording the encounter took away the polite officer's ability to exercise discretionary power and just give you a warning and request to cover it. You had no way to know which way the encounter might go so your choice is still the best but in this case it does close off options for a cop because now they have to go by the book because they don't know where that video might end up.

I like that it's up to you to know. If your in Ontario get 5 people to call the mto offices and say you just got your first pickup truck. Ask them how much you can legal tow and haul . Answers you will get if depends on what you drive, 11000kg total combo weight, usually they never say if your total weight combo is over 4500kg you need a yelllow sticker that's up you to know that. Most figure out the 4500kg rule when they get pulled over and ticketed.

After watching this, I am going to say this. I wish the police officers in America was like this RCMP officer. I know I said some things about Canada that made some Canadians mad and others praised me over how Canada and its people are, but American police officers need to take a look at how police officers in other countries handle things. I was also amazed at how the UK police deal with things. There is good and bad in all countries. All countries aren't perfect. But they aren't over-the-top insane and out there like the America.

I heard about something like that out of the UK. Training to be a police office in the UK takes about two years or more, and you have to have a university-style education to be a police officer. I saw a video here on KZread from someone from the United Kingdom talking about this. In the United States, you have to have a college education or college credit to be a police officer and it is short. In the UK, you can't be dumb when it comes to training to become a police officer. Well, I've been to both Canada and the United Kingdom, and they are nice countries. Well, anyway, I hope I'm right on being a cop in the UK. I also heard that the RCMP training is more harder and tougher.

Polite RCMP doing his job. Your responce appropriate. What's the problem? I was pulled over in the US and I had a gun pointed at our rear window by the second cop until they were satified I had no weapons and had no criminal record. The US police then explained the use of a weapon was s.o.p. due so many policemen killed or injured in traffic stops. Celebrate Canada and its good cops where the police are so polite and will shake you hand. Btw, cab lights are illegal in some provinces but are not to be illuminated when driving. I have lights fore and aft, top of cab and fog lights under the headlights. When I light them all up it would blind other drivers. If you meet a bad cop get the evidence, badge number and name and report it through rgulr channels, not for just your benifit but the rest of us and to help the 99% of the good cops (like the one in your video) get rid of the bad ones. That's the way of the citizens in The True North Strong and Free.
