Brilliant. Thank you.
Hits different when you read it all the way through. I like the thoughts you shared on the podcast, and I like the way the momentum flows when you read it through like this. I hope you keep doing both. The end has me contemplating." I hope and pray but not too much. Out of reach is out of touch. all the way is far enough." It feels like it makes sense. I'm just not sure what I think it means. " I hope and pray, but not too much. Out of reach is out of touch." makes me think about the reality that we can't just sit around hoping a praying and waiting for our world to change. We become out of touch when we don't interact with the world around us. But then "all the way is far enough." Means to me until you give it all you've got you haven't gone far enough. I'm just not sure how they connect to each other.

Thanks! Yeah, it's interesting, isn't it. I did think the out of reach, is out of touch bit, could be the literal meaning of the girl being out of reach and him now, no longer being able to touch her. But it's the beauty of great lyrics I think, that they can often be ambiguous and mean many things. It's fun and useful to ponder, anyway. Thanks for engaging with it! I totally get what you're saying about it feeling like it makes sense, but also not being sure exactly what it means! I have a similar feeling.
Nice one, Thanks Izzy
That’s beautiful Izzy. I used to listen to Roxy Music so much when I was younger.
