A RDR1 Scene That Definitely Hits Different After Completing RDR2 - Red Dead Redemption

Ойындар

I say this because if you think about it, after John, in the epilogue, loses Abigail and Jack at pronghorn ranch and BUYS Beecher’s Hope and literally builds it with the help of former gang members, I most definitely feel something in me after John is forced to hunt down the remaining members and have his family held hostage and after all that time spent in the story to get back to them, it feels surreal to walk back into Beechers hope after building it and working it and remembering Charles and Sadie being there and finally going back to where the story in RDR 2 left off. Worth a replay. Such a damn shame rockstar had to cancel the remaster for freaking GTA 6 man

This reunion hits so damn hard after finishing both RDR1 and RDR2. With RDR1, it hits cause you worked so hard and it finally pays off, but it gets taken away when John’s killed. With RDR2, it hits because you’re seeing these characters again and actually seeing the very house you built with your family all welcoming you back.

I just realized something. Uncle was the most helpful of the whole gang. When people looked down at Uncle they were realizing they were very productive in comparison which made them feel better about themselves and when they still felt like shit but didn't feel like arguing or getting in a fight they could insult and threaten Uncle and be guaranteed he'd take it all without trying to fight it out. He was a walking ( or sleeping ) morale booster. This scene proves another thing. John kept Uncle because of Jack. John was aware that his relationship with Jack was tense. He wanted to preserve it. In this scene, Uncle was the perfect outlet for John because he could avoid blaming his son, putting the blame on Uncle instead!

And when the ranch got attacked and his father died you can only imagine his behavior only got worse and it seems like by the epilogue Jack had been out getting stronger and better with a gun because now he’s determined to be an outlaw to avenge John

I'm in my 4th playthrough of RDR2 with over 750 hours in story mode (never touched online because story>online fight me irl) and for the very first time today, during very early chapter 3, I heard Bill Williamson sitting at the round table in camp talking about "Someday I'll run my own gang!" because Sean and I think John, we're making fun of him, laughing at him for being silly. Sean said "If I was in your gang, I'd never laugh again" and John said "It's no laughing matter" and it was all absolutely hilarious. Afterword I "greeted" Bill and Arthur said "So you're gonna run your own gang one day, huh?" and Bill said something like "Yes... One day..." That line hits different for an RDR1 original.

You saw how a charismatic leader gets a bunch of broken and mislead people to band together and do his bidding and their realization of that fact. You get to see the violence and direction the gang started in and the way they just didn’t feel right about it. _"Take a gamble that love exists and do a loving act."_ - Sister, RDR2. What I love about the Sequel/Prequel is that we find out that some of the old gang may have been crooks, but they were also weren't all bad. Sean, Lenny, Mac, Charles, and of course, Arthur... we spent the first game hunting down the old gang without really knowing much about them. The sequel gave us a lot of time to see their best and worst, plus also showed us that most of John's best friends in that gang were already dead, including the man who was the closest he had to a brother. Giving your life so that someone else might live is a great theme of the series and shows how John and Arthur were trying to change, and had at least some principles in their hearts.
