I’m dreading the day influencers “discover” the amazingness of Dooney (and the quality of a 100% leather bag). I feel like it’s been my little secret for years. I don’t want the demand to go up (which means the price too).

I love your video. I own a Gucci and LV, and I can truly say the quality of a Dooney surpasses them. Now, I exclusively buy Dooney and Coach bags because they are workhorses, like me!. Also, they retain their resale value on the preloved market.

Also I love your whole vibe and how much you can tell you just genuinely love what you’re talking about and not just reciting the same thing every other influencer spouts about all the trendy luxury bags

I would definitely argue that Dooney & Bourke Florentine leather is way higher quality than a Louis Vuitton canvas bag

Lv coated canvas bags look cheap to me. I would not pay for one. I'd rather have Burberry.

Love both both brands Aimee is that girl… the leather quality is great… designs unique. I have 7 of her pieces and always complimented on them. I not into the luxury brands …because I can get 5 or 6 bags for the cost of one..variety for me.

@@buenodiaries5832 Put a rain and stain guard on your purse if you'll be out in the rain. Apple Guard Rain and Stain Repellent from Amazon is a choice of many who own Florentine. It'll keep it looking newer longer. I lived in CT years ago..I'm in Myrtle Beach, SC now. lol

I have had this bag for years sitting in my closet. You have reminded me why it is such an incredible bag and inspired me to use it again and appreciate it. I love hearing your thoughts on the bag and how it needs to get more credit where credit is due. I wish Dooney was "cool" the way Polene and other french designers are hyped up on Instagram.

I had this in natural leather but is very heavy. I love it but I can’t handle it!

I agree with what you said about the excellent quality of mid-range brands but I’m glad they are not so name-heavy because we can buy them at a MUCH more reasonable price. I love that bag. Someday I will buy one in black like yours. The natural looks very good, too, and it darkens after time, but the black one is must more versatile, in my opinion. Thanks for this video!

You are absolutely right. The quality of Dooney is the best!

Dooney always does 25%-30% off around the holidays. Though, usually they save the 30% off for Thanksgiving and Christmas. They also did way more sales in 2020 than before. Used to be strict holidays only. In 2020, they did them randomly.

honestly this bag gives me similar vibes to the balenciaga city bag with the whipstitch handles and slouchy silhouette! just ordered my first one 😍 I’m usually a Coach Rogue girl but I had to give the Dooney satchel a chance!

Love your video. Looking into purchasing a Dooney and you helped me with my decision. I agree with you, when it comes to quality Coach, Tory burch and Dooney the leather and hardware are luxury at a lower price. The older fashion houses like LV and Chanel have a proven track record of luxury and quality, so we tend to look at them first before the other brands. With the cost of everything now, they have to bring it in order for me to drop two bands.

Dooney bags are nice. I like the one bag they have idk the name but it's a crossbody with the DB print on it and it has the leather around the edges.

Hi girl, this is a beautiful bag, I have several of them in different sizes, it comes in large, middle, small, mini, and a smaller than a mini. The leather is Florentine leather and your right it is beautiful and smell unbelievable. I find it sometimes too be heavy if you fill it up, but enjoy it because it is lovely 😊.

Love your vibe. Many people spray their florentine with apple guard rain spray because floretine can get spotted in the rain. I bet the black won't show spots as much though as like the natural color.

It is not water repellent, but if it gets wet, it will darken for a while and return to normal color once it dries out.

I would by far rather have a Florentine Dooney that is 100% vachetta leather than a bag that only has leather on the handles that costs 4 times more and there are fakes that you can get for $50 that takes an expert to tell the difference. TFS.

DO NOT GET THIS LEATHER WET. although because you have black so the water spots won’t show as bad, but as a general rule of thumb keep her dry! I you my medium satchel more as a diaper bag/purse and the small more as a purse. You should check out the Jones satchel since you love detail. You will only be able to find her second hand cause she’s no longer in production, but she is so worth it!!

Yes I totally feel you on that! I found myself looking at the luxury unboxings more because I don't see as many contemporary designer handbag unboxings and it would be great to see more of that content. I admit I do like some bags that are high-end luxury but I totally agree that the price is mainly for the name and there is nothing wrong with a nice bag at a decent price. Thank you for the rant as you call it LOL because it's good to know I am not the only one that feels that way. I don't think a person has to spend 4 figures to have a quality bag. There's nothing wrong if you can afford it but it's good to know that there are other alternatives for the same look and quality but a fraction of the cost. Watching this video made me want to break out my Florentine satchel and fall in love with it all over again. Thank you for sharing and look forward to more of your videos

I feel you and I hear you about contemporary designers not being appreciated. I do love my Louis Vuitton‘s I will not carry a Chanel because they’re crazy overpriced and I don’t want people to think I’m insane but I do love my Louis Vuitton‘s and have for 20 years. if the Dooney and Bourke bags were not so heavy I would be happy to carry them though because I do appreciate it’s beauty

Dooney is luxury designer. LV is haute couture luxury. Dooney is contemporary luxury

I'm so glad I found Dooney again, the quality!! Omg! Yeah I have the LV but Dooney and Coach quality and packaging are amazing. LV just chuck you bag in the box and don't care. They piss me off everytime for all that d.... money!

the entire reason people buy chanel/hermes/LV is exclusivity. contemporary designers, especially coach, are more inclusive (outlet) so they're not as pined for. why would you pine after something that is easy to get? it has nothing to do with quality - the stuff that sells for LV is coated canvas. it's not even leather.

I have seen ladies carry 20 year old Dooneys and coach and the still look good.I leave seen some LV bags that looked horrible as they got older.that much for a non leather bag.no way😁
