8 HOUR WEAR TEST - Dior Backstage foundation - Wore beautifully. I did get dewier throughout the day because I didn’t powder, but even still the foundation didn’t break up or get cakey. Dior Rosewood blush - Stayed pigmented on my cheeks all day. Didn’t fade. 1999 Beauty Cream Contour - An easy everyday formula. This is a thin, sheer formula so I didn’t expect major pigmentation all day. I expect it would have lasted longer if I had powdered to set the contour. 1999 Beauty Cream Highlight - Lovely and stayed on all day. Again, a light formula but I liked how buildable this was. Tom Ford Hazy Sensuality - Lasted beautifully all day without breaking up on my oily eyelids. EspressOh Aroma Light Lipsticks - These are not long-lasting, nor are they meant to be. But they’re easy to reapply throughout the day or after eating or drinking.

I love that they added a lighter olive shade because I used to have to mix my 2WO with something lighter to get the right tone but now it seems like it may match perfectly.

You are one of the only people who realize how different the shades and formula is, I knew I wasn’t crazy 😢

Love the eyeshadow and the Dior makeup is my new fav ❤

I feel the same way - I don’t go for pinks that often but this color story is so nuanced!

I most certainly enjoyed your thoughts on the cosmetics as how well you described them it fit my lingo to the T , I also loved the eyeshadow it was perfect on your eye color and complexion like it was made just for you 😀 I am Alaskan native and I am not as dark as most are 🤪 I have 5 sisters and you’d think we’d all have the same skin tone not one of us do it’s crazy at least I don’t have to worry about one of them coming over to kidnap my foundations like they do with my pallets and so on and so forth I’m the only one that buys high end cosmetics but I’m slowly but surely showing them the difference 🥰 and I am a new subscriber tonight.

Thank you for this overview of the Dior foundation. I really liked the old formulation and never thought of it once I finished it a few months back. I am curious about what my new shade would be. I’ll figure that out once I finish the bottle I have now. I’m currently using the Sephora liquid foundation. I’m also a fan of this.

Thank you for reviewing the updated Dior Backstage Face & Body Foundation! I just did an ingredient search on incidecoder and LOTS of my products (many favs) have Cyclopentasiloxane (and many have it at the top of their inky list). This is a huge formulation upheaval!

Cyclopentasiloxane really does make such a beautiful texture and finish in a product. Unfortunately, it triggers my fungal acne/SD/PD really horribly. So I actually rejoice that brands are phasing the use over the past 4 years. But I can imagine it would disappoint many too!

@@Bekah_Sun I had that same thought (UTR reformulations) because there’s just too many. If we had notifications about each reformulation, we’d all likely lose faith in cosmetics in general!

Thanks for the review. I am happy that Dior expanded their olive range. I saw the descriptions in the Sephora website. I figured out that they changed some things. 2WO didn’t used to be fair. Every company has a different definition of fair. I wouldn’t call myself fair. However, this color seems to suit me, especially in the cooler months.

Oooh, based on the description of water/heat resistant I just knew this was going to be laden with silicones, but wanted to check anyway because finding golden/olive undertones that aren't orange can be so hard. So I was pleasantly surprised to see that it's a water/udecane based foundation instead, which I much prefer. Feels much lighter and more breathable. But I also have a dimethicone sensitivity, so that could just be me. Thanks for this review! I'm now curious about this one.

That’s really helpful to hear! I think there were silicones in the old formula and that’s what they removed in the reformulation, if I’m not mistaken. I hope this works for you!

I have a fair/light warm olive complexion so I was hoping 2WO might match me. It’s a bit too dark. I will just hope they someday do a 1WO or even a 0WO! For now I’ll be sticking with the 1W and adding green color corrector. I hope I can still wear the new formulation. Forever and Backstage (old formulas) were my holy grails. After reformulation, Forever broke me out😭

I have been eyeing that TF pallet I love the TF I have it's my favorite eyeshadow formula. I was gonna get a Dior shadow quint before they reformulated when I went to get it they weren't on the site anymore and now I hear that they aren't as good and I saw a video comparison side by side their is a clear difference in the shine and performance now I am sad I didn't get it before they trashed the eyeshadows.

Thank you for showing how much lighter the new Dior "2WO" foundation shade is! You're exactly right -- it should be designated as "1WO" instead. A friendly PSA for anyone that did love the old version of the Dior Rosy Glow Blush in the shade coral... The new formulation is NOT THE SAME. The new formula in the coral shade in particular is a dusty chalky powdery mess in a pastel apricot peach colour with a strong white base. If you loved the old version, and think you may ever want to repurchase, grab one of the silver box stock while you can before it's gone! They did that blush dirty with the reformulation.

I did grab the old formula 2 weeks ago in 004 Coral and the new bleu box 001 Pink , i did like the new formula seems smoother

@@VickyRyan2018 I think it's just the new coral shade that didn't work out with the reformulation! I bought both pink and coral in the new formulation and didn't mind how the new pink compared to the cold. But that new coral is a dusty mess compared to the old version. 😫

i guess they mark this improved lighter shade as 2wo cuz this shade falls more into a light-medium range which 2 represents? 1 should be for someone with a lighter intensity probably? i did love dior backstage and used 2wo as well but i also shared the same problem with it being too dark when i’m not in the sun despite its perfect undertone match. I even recommended it to many friends before I realized I had horrible allergic reactions. Now I’m wondering whether cyclopentasiloxane was the villain.

IDK if it's the camera, but that shade looks like your skin tone in a bottle, I feel like the old 2WO for was way too dark and yellow on my Korean skin tone. Will for pick this one up since I use you as a foundation reference since most of the other Korean youtubers I follow use like 17/21 in Korean shades and it's way to bright for me

I think the new 2WO is a hair light for me currently in person, but a great winter shade! A welcome addition to the line, I just wish it hadn't been so confusing!

Wow your link for the YSL Candyglaze is at USD $62. I’m pretty sure you can get it mostly everywhere at around $39. That’s a big difference.

Hi! Unfortunately I can't say for sure. If you purchased at an authorized retailer I wouldn't be worried, but I try to avoid shopping for beauty products on retailers like Amazon to avoid possible fake products.

The shadows of my face are almost tealish-gray, as I'm very pale with neutral undertones. 99% of contour products look like red/orange dirt on my skin. XD Get on that DIOR! Give us ghosts contour shades!

Have you by chance tried the newish Milk Makeup contour sticks? I thought those were very ashy and a lot of my friends with fair skin thought so too!

Try the Fenty contour Matchstix if you haven’t. They have an ashy pale shade.

Sorry the new shade is not flattering on you.. I think the more warmer shade if you can find it would be stunning..

Dior… because of course the world needs more paler shades 🙄

They added a new deep shade, though I would love to see more variation in undertones in the deep shades too. I'm glad they added the new level 10 shade though. The last shade range only went to level 9. Hope they add the level 10 shades to all of their foundation ranges!
