I wished the opening scene started out on the creature planet and how it got destroyed and chonks of that planet and along them spread throughout space. I wanted to see what type of atmosphere they originally oriented from.

The thing I found with part 1 and 2 was that it was mainly focused on the family and we as the audience was following them, seeing what this world was like. Since the family only knows so much about the outside world, we, the audience, only know as much as the family knows. So in part 2, when we catch a glimpse of day one and the introduction of the friend Emmitt, then that's as much of the world the family and the audience knows. Once we meet the island people and hear what happened to them on day one, now the next films can build on what we learned and we get to actually see what happened. With day one and the end of part 2 revealing things, that will open up the next films and the family/audience will get to see more of this world.

​@@BrandoCritic Besides a somewhat feeling shoehorned/lazy scene of the creatures eating some kind of plant, someone else I saw the movie pointed out that while our secondary character and the cat "just happened to be there", while the creatures were next to them, they seemed much bigger in size comparison. So possibly Kanju sized creatures are out there and how would the world deal with that? But then again, seems a bit ridiculous/impossible for anyone/humanity to survive from that, let alone normal sized ones.

I’m seeing it tonight. It’s usually not a good sign when the embargo is just about the day of. It sounds like it’ll have good action but, don’t expect to care much for the characters.

Yet to see it but I think the sign language problem you mentioned would’ve ruined the film. I imagine people were quick to realise the aliens hunted by sound, but learning sign language takes time - the family in the first film knew it due to their child. If the characters in the prequel knew it from the get go it would’ve felt a bit cheap.. Again, haven’t seen it but if like you say they adapt quickly to this, that’s what I’ll be disappointed now. Sign langue didn’t make the movie, what did was seeing humans adapting to a situation in dire circumstances.

I'm not saying that I wish people learned about it. I'm saying that in this movie, everyone is silent and unfortunately, there isn't much characterization because of it. Sign language I thought was the charm of the first two movies, and it's missing here. Based on the logic of the story here, I understand why it isn't here.

The solution was so peripheral it got annoying and boring really quickly. The suspense was crazy in theatre which was fun. The Sam lore didn’t make a lot of sense to me.

Hey Brandon, I saw The Bikeriders (2024) in theatres, Tom Hardy, Austin Butler and Jodie Comer delivered excellent performances. The film sometimes got a bit violent, and a trailer for MaXXXine (2024) starring Elizabeth Debicki and Mia Goth played before the film started and Elizabeth Debicki is still my favourite actress of all time.

I do just left it, it confirms some hypothesis about other ways they can die, and you see them "eat" something. It's leages better than 2 imho.

I still think it was a decent movie, but of the 3 it's my least favorite. Thinking about it, I you and my cousin are right they should have given us more info about the aliens in this latest one. Still not sure how.

@@BrandoCriticyou implying it needs to have sign language let me know u completely missed the point of origin with this movie its not apart of 1 and 2 its a whole different movie focusing on the beginning of the alien invasion.. why would they put sign language in a movie with no deaf characters in the plot.. Make that make sense. Its a prequel for a reason not a sequel likened to the first 2 that focused on a set of characters one of which was actually deaf….. if anything they should have focused more on the government side showing how they came to be etc..

This movie sucked. There was no story to follow, no objective, no character development. I was relieved when it ended.
