Today I'm reviewing "A Quiet Place: Day One" Horror/Sci-fi written and directed by Michael Sarnoski, based on a story he conceived with John Krasinski. It is the third installment in the A Quiet Place film series, serving as a spin-off prequel to the first film. The film stars Lupita Nyong'o, Joseph Quinn, and Alex Wolff, with Djimon Hounsou.

Synopsis:
When New York City comes under attack from an alien invasion, a woman and other survivors try to find a way to safety. They soon learn that they must remain absolutely silent as the mysterious creatures are drawn to the slightest sound.

This one has the perfect blend of horror, suspense, action and emotional drama. The second did the same but this had me on the edge of my seat way more!

Im so excited about this movie
Great review! I went to see the premiere in IMAX and loved the experience 🤩 Lupita's acting was so good as usual, and her cat was adorable! I enjoyed it more than Part 2, but I would need to watch it again to refresh my memory. I'm excited for the next big horror release, MaXXXine :D

Hey, Elliott! I have really enjoyed this franchise, but this film felt too much like a retread of what we've seen before. Although I thought Lupita and Joseph did great acting-wise, the connective tissue of the story didn't land for me nor did the set-ups for the action sequences. I'm still intrigued enough to see what happens in A Quiet Place: Part 3 next year, though. Solid commentary per usual. 👌👌👌

Yeaaaah I wish I liked this more, but I think your review is spot on. It just didn't add anything fresh to the franchise so it felt kinda superfluous. Worth seeing for Queen Lupita, but I found myself bored during some of it. It felt like such a repeat of movies I've seen before. And yo, if I was carrying my cat in Manhattan and scary aliens dropped from the sky, my cats would run away from me and never look back 😂
